Re: Amateur FFR Scores!
yeah I think <10 for most VCs is sort of the beast line in which you end up in the other thread
And as I said, don't need to waste time trying to constantly enforce the rules. I'm pretty sure those who do are the only people who are actually unhappy in this thread lmao. Tbh, it only breaks the flow of this thread. I've yet to see anybody complain in this thread for lack of recognition.Last edited by bmah; 02-26-2011, 08:52 PM.Comment

If we're going for <30 on FMO's too then I'd still be posting in here with my 33-0-0-3 on Demon Fire >.> I agree that FMO's shouldn't be posted in here at all, especially if they're non-mashed FC's.Glorious Morning - Misc, level 48

Re: Amateur FFR Scores!
I'd focus more on people's overall satisfaction with this thread as opposed to seeing how closely one can scrutinize people's scores. afaik, only the rule-makers are making a big fuss.
What do I see?
- people posting true amateur scores here seem to be fine and complementing others within his or her skill range; they aren't worrying about other people in this thread who are not within their skill range
- others posting decent scores that's above amateur and are confused when someone explicitly points out the rules (but refer to first point)
- rule-enforcers worrying to death about...rules. (but refer to first point)
And look at the posts below vvvv
As you can see, strictly enforcing the rules creates unnecessary confusion that can easily be prevented.Last edited by bmah; 02-26-2011, 09:02 PM.Comment

Re: Amateur FFR Scores!
Its kinda stupid people have to hop between two threads with their scores, make things easier, stick to the main thread.Comment

Re: Amateur FFR Scores!
Without rules, this thread ceases to have a purpose. Just trying to keep the scores from getting into 10s then into 11s, then soon enough becoming FFR Scores v2.I'd focus more on people's overall satisfaction with this thread as opposed to seeing how closely one can scrutinize people's scores. afaik, only the rule-makers are making a big fuss.

Re: Amateur FFR Scores!
@Rushy: refer to earlier quote:
So yeah, you have to be realistic about the issue. It's ideal to have all scores fit within the rules, but it's difficult to enforce. All I'm saying is to lax a bit on telling people what scores they can and cannot post. Just point out anything that's really out of bounds. You can "roughly" contain certain types of scores within this thread, but you cannot do so with definitive accuracy.
It's either this or you can come to the realistic but unfortunate conclusion that this thread never really had productive results. When it comes to satisfaction however, nearly everyone is satisfied except the rule enforcers. (@Hazelle: really, the hassle is only amongst the rule enforcers and the confused members of whom they direct their authority to)
Anyhow, I'm derailing this thread myself, so that's all I'll say.
@Mopey: yeah, that simplification is way easier to enforce, as opposed to a general range that someone made up based on their idea of what an "amateur" isLast edited by bmah; 02-26-2011, 09:18 PM.Comment

Re: Amateur FFR Scores!
This is what I have to say - anything less than a AAA/Blackflag/Rainbow flag on a VC song goes here. Mainly because all the scores I see on the main thread are usually <10 on FGO songs. So I've returned. Maybe I can stick around for awhile.Comment
