it does matter here though because assuming you're town:

if you think I'm town then you think I'm genuinely misguided and then your reaction is understandable because you want me to put forth something substantial that you can refute

if you think I'm wolf then you think that I'm gunning for a mislynch and my actual reasoning isn't as important
