I feel like the arcade category has some of the most ear-accessible songs. Also there might be success in showing two different difficulties of a "good" song. For example, show Arsonist on standard, and then on heavy. Might make it easier to follow--perhaps demonstrating layering if they're paying attention, and gives them a better idea of the fact that stepping a song is very deliberate and hardly random. Maybe.

edit: 12 Bar Bloops could even be effective, or other songs by Blitz Lunar. I certainly can't combo it, but I could plug it in to the sound system in my house and emphasize listening to the song as opposed to watching me play. While they enjoy the music they might hear me tapping along.
