There is a word, "ta", that can mean him, her, or it depending on how you use it. So for some reason I feel like you could just say "ta" instead of "him/her" and "ta de" to indicate "his/hers." Technically, there are three different "ta"s - one each for males, females and entities with no sex, like objects in general. They're all pronounced the same way, but written very differently so the "integrity" of the gender is not compromised even if you are saying it, since it's understood you're using the appropriate one.
