My thoughts on the Rate Option

I despise it.

I don't despise the concept of the Rate Option, my main beef is with the way it works in multi player. It has ruined the fun I have playing online with other people who now use rate.

First off, I hate the concept that the person I am playing with plays the song faster than me. They finish the song while I still have halfway to go, and it's just like playing alone at that point. I would change it too to play with my friends who use it, but it isn't compatible with Flash Player 9.

Another concern I have is the glitch it is causing for MP. If you spectate a game where both players are using rate, every time it freezes at the beginning, and the song starts playing from the beginning but the notes are from a different point in the song.

Finally, it has changed the way people play songs. On several occasions now, I have tried to play an easy song with somebody, and even if I ask them not to use rate, they tell me they CAN'T play an easy song without Rate. It disappoints me.

Don't get me wrong, the Rate option sounds kinda cool, but it makes me feel lonely when playing with someone who uses Rate, Rate causes glitches, and it has made people rely on it to play easy songs.

All this is my personal opinion, so try not to get completely raged over this.
