Those of you who are newer probably do not remember Widgets.

However I think they are and were a pretty great idea. It gave a user more variety and they were able to play better songs. It was also a way to post them on my site so others could play with.


I see that most of the widgets use like myspace links to the artists page and what not. There are other pages like Reverbnation / Sound cloud you could contact artists and get permission and such.

I think it's a really cool feature.
