Help on Making a Stepfile for Treasure Trove Cove

I've been making a stepfile for Treasure Trove Cove from the Banjo Kazooie (Nintendo 64) soundtrack. I have already gotten permission by e-mail, and I've stepped about 20% of the song already in Stepmania 5. However, although the steps are on-beat at the beginning, it gradually gets more and more off-beat, even though I'm using the correct rhythm for the song. I looked up the BPM for Banjo Kazooie online, which is 126 BPM, and I changed the entire song to be 126 BPM, but somehow the rhythm still eventally gets offbeat. It isn't that offbeat, but it's offbeat enough that it poses a problem to me. Please tell me how to fix this, and thank you in advance!
