For jacks such as these, sometimes it helps if you use more than one finger. I don't mean to use more than one finger for the key, but to place tension in the finger you are not using. For example, if you use your middle finger for the right-arrow (4), you can do a pencil-like grip, where your index finger and thumb are pressing against each other, and your middle finger is pressing to the side of your thumb and finger. This way, you will have more control of your hand, and place all the stress into your thumb and index finger. Using this method, I personally find it easier to play jacks that are long, or quite fast.

I'm usually terrible at jacks. Gonna try this later. Hopefully I can improve.
