I think you're misunderstanding his/her point. The issues in Libya don't necessarily need US attention, and I don't think C@! was saying that; however, they do need to be solved because they are currently the reason behind what is driving up the price of oil.

Truly, I'm not sure why prices have jumped so much. It's not like Libya is a massive oil producing nation. They're lucky to account for 2% of the world's oil production and with what many countries have in reserve (especially the US), they're pretty much a drop in the bucket as far as that goes.
