Due to lack of updates on the previous thread, i have decided to make a V3 version, that will ACTUALLY be updated.

AS ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE THE LAST THREAD WAS UPDATED, I MAY HAVE MISSED CERTAIN PERMISSIONS, PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD IF YOU KNOW OF ANY I HAVE MISSED

FOR FILE SUBMISSIONS to Tasselfoot@gmail.com:

i need a folder inside the zip/rar. and the folder name needs to be: "song name (ffr username)"

NEEDS your username in the folder name. NEEDS the folder. DOES NOT need the artist in the folder name (but it still needs to be in the .dwi artist data).

also, i want it in the EXACT format listed above... as opposed to any other variation.

for future batches, if you don't include a folder, i will not accept it. i'll send you an email requesting the correct format.

PINK = When an artist is listed in pink, they currently have none of their songs in the game, you dont have to, but consider stepping these artists if you want to step something.

If anyone else has URLs for artists that we have blanket permission, please post it here. Or if anyone has information that contradicts something posted above, please post it here. Otherwise, please do not post in this thread.

Also, if you step a song from one of these artists, please send the mp3 and dwi to tasselfoot@gmail.com for consideration onto FFR. Please have them inside a folder inside a zip/rar file. AND please tell me who you are (your FFR username).


OKAY, since there isnt an active thread on this and many people keep asking others about it, i thought id include a section about asking certain artists for permission. It wont be full of templates lol, but itll be a basic overview.

the basics of asking for permission is to basically send the artist/band an email/private messege, asking for permission to use their songs here on FFR. If the band is represented by a lable, you must ask the lable, AND the bands permission.

when you ask for permission, be sure to include:

~What FFR actually is (include facts, statistics, the basics of gameplay)
~That FFR the site doesnt get any money from the use of their songs.
~A list of Artists who have already given permission (a link to this thread is fine)
~A link to the site
~Conformation that their music is safe and will not be available to download.

And rememer to BE NICE. dont shout at them or threaten them or anything lol. whatever their answer is, thank them for their time.
