I've written a little program to improve the smoothness in FFR R1. I've always preferred to play SM because of the high frame rate, and I wanted to get something similar on FFR.
Download the program at: http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/ffr_smooth.html It's not a trainer or a cheat - you use the website and play as normal. It simply magnifies the game and then smooths the arrow motion. Unfortunately, the process reduces the graphic quality somewhat, so it's not ideal. It can also remove static backgrounds from songs. Some people may find it useful, but it might not work for others.... The program is simple to use, but there is some preparation required - please check the included instructions and FAQ before asking questions in this thread... Good luck EDIT: Works in Windows XP only, needs DirectX 9. To play in lo-res, you'll need a reasonable (but not amazing) computer, capable of running Direct3D games adequately. The hi-res version needs a fairly good gaming rig. Works in Vista, but the lag problems seem too much to overcome here. I could port it to OpenGL, but it would be a pain, so don't hold your breath. I'm afraid I'm not a Mac or Linux programmer, sorry guys... EDIT: Update to 1.12 on the website. Supports the normal game as well as lo-res now. Some freezing problems resolved.
