One of my toenail is getting blistered, what should I do?
I know this is pretty off, but on my right foot, one of my toenails is having the risk of being blistered (the toenail is still on my toe, I haven't pulled it off yet), so what should I do? Please help.
Edit: I got my problem solved, after reading some of the replys and a little bit researching and googling, I decided to patiently cut some parts of the toenail, it went really good. So, if anyone sees this thread, tell them to ignore it, sorry for those who feels disturbed by this thread.

Re: One of my toenail is getting blistered, what should I do?
going to say the obvious "go and see a doctor man before doing anything else" phrase.
Where is it being blistered exactly? Is it underneath the toenail? Off to the sides of the toenail? Underneath the tip of the toenail? Is the toenail ready to fall off? If you can't tell exactly, best thing I could recommend is putting some gold bond + disinfect/dettol/any spray on disinfectant, wrap it up, double sock that foot and take it to a doctor's. :s Last edited by gold stinger; 05-13-2014 at 09:15 AM.. |

That sounds really nasty.
Um... I guess tell you parents this and then go from there. I don't think a blister there is severe, but it could be. |

Yeah, the only option is to cut the foot off, just get it over with.
On a more serious note, is it possible you have an ingrown toenail? I get them quite frequently, depending on how bad it is going to the doctors to get it removed is possible, but I went with the option once, it was quite painful and not worth it. If it is an ingrown toenail (if not you could still try this) just buy some epsom salt, get a container of water, mix the epsom salt in it,and soak your foot in it for like 20-30mins, do that for like a week to get settle down some of the swelling and such then try and pull it out and cut it. |

Just soak it in warm water for now until you can get it taken care of by a professional.
Also just because he posted something on ffr doesn't mean it's stupid. If he asks for help here then fine. >>; |

Re: One of my toenail is getting blistered, what should I do?
soaking it in warm water will prune the skin on the blister, making it more likely to pop on it's own
if you have a very thin needle, you can possibly ask a family member to attempt to pop it or you could pop it yourself |

Re: One of my toenail is getting blistered, what should I do?
Gonna lock this because problem solved according to the OP edit but this comment..
..although completely unwarranted, kinda irks me as well because I'm also upset with the 'you posted on FFR' comments. He didn't know what to do but felt comfortable enough to ask the community what his best option was. Mind you this obviously isn't the kind of topic frequently posted about, but if someone has a problem they don't know how to deal with, they should be able to ask without criticism. (It must be a legitimate problem, and because there's some people here that like to get incredibly technical with wording, it is at the staff's discretion to determine whether or not you're posting about a legitimate problem...anyone making parody problem threads outside of TGB after this post will be banned [because I know they're coming]) Last edited by One Winged Angel; 05-13-2014 at 04:45 PM.. |
