Hello main FFR people, Please look into!
Hello i love FFR and i'm Spanish like i'm sure are more players, but id love to see maybe a different type of genre like a lot of Latin songs have crazy piano solos and would be pretty easy to make at least a level 10 or 11 so yea like salsa like 70s status and some more hip hop i hope you take this in consideration i really don't mean to offend any one but i'm just stating an idea i'm interested in because its something that id like to see.

Re: Hello main FFR people, Please look into!
I've actually been wanting to see more stuff like this myself. I think we need to expand upon our genres a little. We do have to have permission from the artists before we can use their music as Carlos mentioned. I'll try to look into getting some permissions for music like this myself as well. ^_^
Edit: found a couple already that seemed like they'd be pretty good for FFR. Sent them messages so now it's just a waiting game to see if they say okay.

Making a double post to bump this up. Got permission from this guy http://dj-svenzo.newgrounds.com/audio/
Let us know what you like on there and maybe one of us can step it. Still waiting to hear back from a few more people. EDIT: Didn't realize how much ambient music this guy had also lol. I had it sorted by latin music so I swear there is latin there.

This. I got a good song for it, but getting permission from the artist will probably be a nightmare to get.

Re: Hello main FFR people, Please look into!
I'll kill random school children if I ever have to play a shitty (read: any) Mars Volta song on FFR. But, some more spanish guitar music would be awesome.
A la this: Not saying permission would be possible to get for that lol, but the second half of it would make for one of the funnest files on FFR. Last edited by Mike Weedmark; 11-28-2011 at 09:34 AM.. |

Re: Hello main FFR people, Please look into!
protip #1: the edit button is your friend.
protip #2: For FFR, you just need to head over to the artist permissions thread to see which artist you can use their songs to step (Although its divided up into blanket, conditional, and Label permissions). As for programs to download to step, I recommend getting DDReam Studio. Great tool to use to step imho if you want the precise sync in the file. I'd go into detail but I'll tl;dr this; get DDReam studio for stepping and get SM so you can save the file as both a .sm and a .dwi (eventhough in DDReam studio you can save the file as a .sm but not as .dwi). |

Re: Hello main FFR people, Please look into!
We really need to step our game up with some wider genres. All the hardest songs are either classical, chiptune, fukken japanese origin, or some other bs like dumpcore or someshit. It'd be interesting to see some really hard songs that are actually different. lol
