Another thought popped in my head as I thought about game mechanics again.

Would it actually be more effective to nolynch this phase? Those 5 players wolves have can't get night killed after all...

i am interested in exploring the potential pros and cons of this. i don't hate the idea, i need to reread the rules like i said i would. doing that now

NL is awful
our only way to kill the wolves and win is to vote for things
going the NL route means we throw away one of our chances for killing a wolf

while we're on this topic, there should be no discussion on whether to claim merlin or VT, or any discussion about merlins. this, again, is only beneficial to the wolves. as town, I feel the optimal play here is to say we are all merlins.

ok so i've reread the rules... am i correct in assuming color has literally no effect on alignment? because it states wolves will be given "5 town" INCLUDING 2 vt and all 3 merlins... so the red merlin is not considered scum? just as well, the green wolf is not considered town? (more obviously, yes)

now are these colors just for show/to draw a connection between merlin and wolf or do these colors have special abilities is the question i suppose
