If we had perms on them before their death, then we still keep whatever is the current perm status (unless the estate owners/whoever currently owns the rights to their music - says something about it). If we DIDN'T have perms to begin with, then we'd have to ask the estate owner for perms.

According to multi-genre extraordinaire ReeK's soundcloud bio, you're free to use his music as long as you message him about it with a link to it (I believe this is the correct interpretation, not terribly much in the ffr perm world). Would really recommend listening to some of his stuff, it's insane how much he covers.

Hypens in Column F are referring to tracks that were re-recorded on 'best compilation albums', and to refer to the album source for permission usage.
Blanks mean they do not hold permission and they have no idea who actually holds permissions.
Anything else other than 'IOSYS' and ONLY 'IOSYS' means that place holds permission rather than IOSYS, and they would need to be contacted separately for permission for usage to that specific work.
Column A is Album ID, Column D is song name, Column H is album title.
If the google doc says permission is (IOSYS, COOL&CREATE, 上海アリス幻樂団) It means you need permission from all 3 sources in order to use it. We have COOL&CREATE, and IOSYS, but not 上海アリス幻樂団 (Team Shanghai Alice, formerly known as ZUN Soft (game developer)).
If it says something like IOSYS(→MOF) then IOSYS has partial permissions and would need to contact other people involved in the song to secure permissions.

Terms and Conditions for Music Licensing
- You MUST credit me, "DDRKirby(ISQ)", as being the author of the tracks. Credit can be given in the content itself (e.g. inside the actual YouTube video) or on the associated page (e.g. in the video or stream description)
- You MUST provide a link to my Bandcamp site at https://ddrkirbyisq.bandcamp.com/ You can optionally link to the album and/or track that you are using specifically (your preference)
- You MUST adhere to all restrictions previously stated in the section "Music Licensing - Restrictions".
- You CANNOT use my music if you are simply reuploading the music itself with no additional content. For instance, uploading a YouTube video with my music and a simple visualization is not allowed.

Wow the main posts haven't been updated for more than a year. Here is a list of permission posts since the last update.
Also, BMS of Fighters is currently listed under Open Source Audio. I propose moving it to Label Permissions and removing FIVE VS SEVEN, since BOF permissions are now considered to be derived from the event rules rather than being open source.Last edited by jh05013; 01-20-2022, 04:23 AM.Comment

Blanket permission from a friend of mine in the PA rhythm game scene, Seo. You may have heard some of their work ("CREATION" and "safe_state") made for BOF under the Seo alias. As listed in the message, all released music is fine to list the artist as Seo, but any future work will be released under a new alias. I'm not sure what that alias is yet, it could be "RILEY-SSC" but when I find out definitively, I'll be sure to notify y'all so you know it's the same artist.
