To be honest I remember absolutely nothing about the first half of the game; aside from the typing challenge, I don't know what went down before benguin got voted out. I kinda regret not really talkin to people more or tryna make moves more often than I had that round; lotsa fun could've been had with my whole double/triple/quadruple-agent thing I had going there. :)

My turn for a long post.

I didn't really know what to expect, going into this game. I had watched snippets of Survivor when I was a lot younger and enjoyed the concept but I've never really been one to watch too much TV so I'd hardly call myself a massive fan. Once I signed up, I quickly binged a season just to make sure I had some sort of an idea of what I was getting myself into it, but nothing could have prepared me for the amount of fun I had playing this game.

So firstly, massive thanks to Xiz for hosting, it was one of the most unique online community gaming experiences I've ever had, and I greatly enjoyed everything about it.

A ''quick'' explanation of my mindset during the game for anyone who might not have read all of the spectator chat on discord:

I'm relatively new to this TWG community and though I feel like I get on with everyone, I hadn't made a lot of close connections with anyone, so I was a bit worried going in, that I'd be outnumbered, that everybody would be making alliances with their closer friends and I'd simply be the first to go. I reached out to Raeko, someone I had chatted to a little bit and that I felt I could somewhat trust, to see if she'd partner up. She said yes, as long as I'm okay with partnering up with Haku. I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about joining up with Haku as though I love the dude to death, I have no idea how much I can trust him in a game setting. It then expanded with both the addition of Roundbox and Freezin, players that I know very little about, and I became very uncomfortable with the alliance. I decided to stick with it because 1) I was in an alliance, which meant I wasn't alone in the game anymore and 2) what am I supposed to do? 'sorry guys, I don't want to be in this alliance anymore' and suddenly I'm a target for them, but anyway, I had full intentions of sticking with them at this point.

Later, once the game had officially started, Danceguy reached out to me, and this was the moment the game sort of flipped on its head for me. Danceguy and I got on like wildfire, and Danceguy brought up the idea of expanding the alliance. I suggested we invite some players that might be being ignored due to being new or unknown in this community, so we decided to bring along Bugkid and Grandma into the alliance. Reuben also happened to reach out to Danceguy around the same time, so we decided to involve him as well.

With that, I suddenly realised the powerful position I was in. Though I had no particular loyalty at this stage to any particular alliance, I was in two 5-person alliances, and I had already found the very first hidden immunity idol in the game. It was at this stage I thought fuck it, I'm going to play hard and try to win this thing.

The alliance with Danceguy and Bugkid was crazy from day one, the chat was popping almost 24/7 and we bonded together heaps, and it was by the second day or so that I was sold on riding or dying with the two of them. If there was a million dollars on the table, my strategy probably would have been different, but at this point I was having too much fun playing with these particular two that I had decided that this was who I wanted the final 3 to be, Me, Bugkid and Danceguy. There was no intention of betraying the Raeko and Roundbox alliance when I started this one, but it became clear that they were going to be the biggest threat, so we decided to get rid of them early.

It goes without saying, but Danceguy, Bugkid and myself influenced all of the tribal councils for the first half of the game, and we had pretty solid intel on where everyone else was at in the game and who was talking to who.

DBP was playing incredibly hard at the start too, and our alliance was quite afraid of him. I, in particular, was afraid that dbp would discover the identities of those in the Raeko and Roundbox alliance, and proceed to mention it to someone in my Danceguy, Bugkid alliance, which would have blown my cover. A day or two later, I did reveal to the Danceguy and Bugkid alliance about my involvement in the other alliance, and it was all out in the open anyway, but that was my original fear and the main factor for me in deciding to let him join. Blind was the original target at Night 4, but after we found Grandma being a bit too dangerous with the information he was sharing outside of our alliance, we decided to get rid of him instead.

It all went pretty smoothly after that until I made the decision to get rid of DBP. We had majority numbers and our alliance was still secret and operating in the background, and this move eliminated our majority numbers and put us out in the open. I still defend the decision I made to get rid of dbp, he was a massive threat and he had an idol, and I wanted to remove him from the game before he had the opportunity to use it to get rid of one of the other 4 of us. I took the gamble that I would be able to keep control of the situation socially, even without the solid majority numbers.

My mistakes were made the phase after. Freezin said he would have worked with me had I reached out to him to work with him, but I didn't. I spilled everything to Plop to try to get him to join up with us, but he rightly saw that he would have been at the bottom of our alliance and started a coup to try and take control back in the game. Subaru also possibly would have worked with us had I reached out to him sooner. Blind and Funnygurl were inseparable but I had their trust prior to spilling everything to plop. Putting my effort the day after into trying to solidify Plop as part of our alliance was the real mistake, when there were so many different ways I could have gone about it. I also had an idol a phase or two earlier that I played by accident, that I could have used to protect myself. Bugkid also had an idol that they were willing to use on either Dance or Me if we thought we were in danger, but we didn't use it. It could have been a very different game had any of these things happened.

Regardless, I was now out and the alliance went from the top of the game to the bottom. We were slowly picked off one by one, until it was only Danceguy left. He then miraculously won immunity over and over, somehow making it to F3. In my opinion, his win is VERY deserved, he was part of the influence of the entire game, and he managed to survive long after everyone else in our alliance had fell. I am super super proud of him, and am stoked that the person I went into this game and connected the closest with ended up taking home the win.

I know people think I was a snake in this game, and I take full responsibility for completely betraying the Raeko/Roundbox alliance, but I played this game as genuine as I could. I obviously held back certain information from different people, as is part of the game, but the only people I lied to were in that said alliance. I reached out to almost everyone on an individual basis, but that was also just part of how I decided to play this game, not to make any sort of promises to these people, but to truly try and see where everyones heads were at, to see who I could work with or who I could trust to make it further into the game. I know some would argue that I was playing too hard, but I honestly thought other people were scheming more than they were, and most of my moves were made out of paranoia, when they really didn't need to be. I know that if this game was ever played again, it would be a very different beast because now people know what to expect. If I took part, I would have to completely change my strategy or I'd be one of the first eliminated.

Regardless, I'm not salty about being blindsided, I'm glad it happened because it made it a much more entertaining game to spectate and it was a whole different experience not knowing what the hell would happen each tribal. I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in all the challenges, solving the puzzles, learning new games, making new relationships, all of the memes, and everything about the type of game that this was. I love everyone in this server, and I harbour no bad feelings towards anyone.

Danceguy - Absolutely well deserved, I'm stoked you won, you're a hilarious dude, and I'm so glad you reached out to me at the start, it made this game so much more enjoyable and I hope you stick around the server and play more.

Subaru - So enjoyable to play this game with you man. You're incredibly smart and I was super scared of your ability in challenges. It was nice to have someone be so genuine throughout the whole thing, if I had gotten to know you better I think we could have teamed up a lot earlier, but your early votes were so crazy and out of alignment with everyone else that I was scared of trusting you:P

Funnygurl - YOU TRAITOR nah you got rid of me before I could get rid of you, and thats exactly what I did with dbp, so I don't blame you at all for voting me except for YOU SAID I HAD YOUR LOYALTY. Anyway, I always enjoy playing with you tbh and please don't hate me. I know I was going to but I never actually betrayed you >.> FGUARD

Blind - you are the ONLY person I never reached out to, mostly because our teams never matched up and I had no real strategic reason to, but I greatly regret not reaching out to you earlier. You were by far my favourite character during live councils and you are one of the funniest people on the server :P I got to know you briefly before you voted me out, and I wish I had gotten to play more of this game with you before the backs got stabbed.

Plop - You broke my heart dude, we had a pact I'm glad it was you that made the play. You played one of the best games to be honest and if you were in the final 3 it would have been incredibly hard not to vote for you. You stuck to your methods the entire game, you didn't disrupt alliances, you played largely under the radar but you were still thinking so much about what was going on, and I really respect that. Love you as a person, but I'm still voting for you next TWG.

Freezin - You were AFK for so much of this game that I never really put much thought into you as a player, it was just about when I would get rid of you. So when you started being active during the phase I decided to get rid of Haku, I felt super super bad about betraying you and flushing your idol. You had some amazing ideas and if you were more active in this game, I think you could have won the whole thing. I regret not trying to build more of a relationship post DBP as well, I think we could have worked well together.

Reuben - You didn't post a lot, but it was absolute quality when you did. Meme as hell and I loved being in an alliance with you.

DBP - I hope you know I love you, man, hahaha. I know you think it was a terrible decision to get rid of you and in many ways it was, but its nothing about you as a person. I really appreciated our voice call that day before you were out, I love the way you approach this game and you really went into this game hard just like I did and I super appreciate that as well. If you had made it to final 3 I know you would have taken home the whole thing, and I was scared of how good you were at challenges and at just playing the game in general. Great game, sorry we only made it half way.

Storn - I'm sad you went afk, dude, you were a good player and a pleasure to talk with, even though it was minimal. We were team mates early on and though I never really knew where I stood with you, I was glad to play this game with you.

Sanzath - Another brilliant player that I had never interacted with prior to this TWG. I remember the first time I reached out to you, and you were VERY reserved but also very crafty in your response to me, and I immediately knew I wasn't going to be able to trust you. I think if you had played with a bit more of an alliance mindset, you could have made it to the F3.

Haku - I honestly love the way you play TWG and survivor so much, but man, being in an alliance with you is scary. I feel like you would betray someone unintentionally before it was intentional but I know how smart you are and I was scared of keeping you alive, I'm sorry I had to blindside you.

Roundbox - Your reputation precedes you. I know we barely interacted this game, but you were someone I perceived as probably going to win, just because of how everyone talks about you. I knew you were in a few different group chats, and I became worried about my standing in any that you and I were a part of. Having a reputation in this game can only hurt, in my opinion, so I feel bad that you barely had a chance to play, but I hope you don't take it too personally.

Raeko - pls love me

T-Force - Another player I wish I got to interact with more. Your commentary was hilarious, you were a joy to interact with in spectator chat, and you have a great attitude about the game. Please sign up to future games.

Grandma - Loved having you as an early alliance member. I'm sorry we had to get rid of you so early but you were just too open with people about what was going on in the game and I didn't want to lose the advantage I already have. Loved our chats and interactions at the beginning of the alliance, I'm sorry for how it went down.

inD - Survivor wasn't your thing, unfortunately. You would have been a force to be reckoned with, I believe.

Phantompuppy - You were hands down the most enjoyable person to watch play. You played with strategy, you were socially competent, and all of your moves were good ones. If you had made it to final 3 I would have voted for you hands down. I'm sad that you never got to be a part of any alliance with me, and if we could do this again, I would definitely put more of an effort into interacting with you. Great game!

Bugkid - Hello my love, we meet again. It's been a while, where should we begin? Feels like forever, within my heart are memories, of perfect love that you gave me. Oh, I remember. When you are with me, I'm free. I'm careless, I believe. Above all the others we'll fly, this brings tears to my eyes, My sacrifice. We've seen our share of ups and downs, Oh how quickly life can turn around. In an instant, it feels so good to reunite. Within yourself and within your mind, let's find peace there.
nah for real though you know how much I loved playing with you bugkid, I wanted to somehow make you win the game, and I'm so genuinely happy to now call you my friend

Apologies for completely disappearing for this one, I wasn't sure if I should've asked for a replacement or not (never done a survivor game), but I got really caught up in irl stuff during the entirety of the game :/

It seems like it was a huge success and a lot of fun, so I'm glad that my absence didn't go against that!
