I saw this and thought it'll be movie OSTs lol

I may have some unrelease stuff on my Google Drive, so I might send something to this. I don't really have the time/energy to step anymore but if I have old finished files/near complete ones I might toss something your way.

Re: MOVEZ (SUBMISSIONS OPEN TILL OCT. 3RD)

yo so after playing a few things you've all submitted, I have a feeling like I just suck and these files are too hard.

I may be a bit bias in my reviews... and I don't really offer much constructive criticism. I feel maybe I should step down as judge. Albeit, I do really like what direction you want to head in, rog. And the files I've played so far aren't quite the files I would expect for Xoon 4 though. So I guess I'll see what I'm able to come up with...

hey post a few reviews and if i notice anything glaringly wrong with it i'll hit you up. no worries. i'm a very technical judge so we could stand to have someone reviewing files who cares more about how things play than, yknow, paragraphs on paragraphs of ddream timecodes pointing out one singular missing jump lmfao

Yeah I mean, that's the way I judge anyway. I'm not giving up judging, not in the slightest. I wanna help push this pack in the direction you want. So that's cool we're on the same page.

Re: MOVEZ (SUBMISSIONS OPEN TILL OCT. 3RD)

Alright, so I have judged just a few, trying to get back into the swing of things so bear with me haha. Also, spoiler'd the tech stuff. Will continue to judge other stuff as the week goes by.

                                China Dress - GD
                                Hard: Accept
Fun file, it flowed perfectly fine. Although there are a few missing notes that I would like to check over in terms of consistency with the layering.
                                12.773 - 16th missing
                                13.116 - 16th missing
                                13.802 - 16th missing
                                16.030 - 16th misisng
                                16.373 - 16th missing
The same goes from 84.087 to 87.687. To be frank, I think the idea of not including the burst at the end of both of these segments is a good idea, I just think that for consistency sake there should be 16ths in those two parts or mines to accentuate those sounds.
101.516 - 48th is ghost, there's no sound coming off of that to justify the grace note unlike the 8ths from 102.859 and downward.
                                107.002 - Ghost 48th

Do You Know Squarepusher - Valor
                                Challenge: Accept
I -love- the file. I do. There are just a few layering scheme that kind of tick me off a bit, but there are my own personal nitpicking. Anyhow, still love your files Valor and glad to see you still doing great files <3
0.039 - Should shift that down to 0.052, which is where the sound starts.
23.657 to 24.031 - I would actually love to see the 8th & 16th get accentuated in those holds as well. If not, mines to signify the shift in the sounds.
                                -original-

                                -two possible ideas-

                                24.406 to 26.187 - +1 for Mine Theory~
26.281 to 26.656 - Mines could have actually continued on here since the vocal that started at 24.406 is still going.
36.777 - *Optional* the freeze here could actually be changed to a roll freeze to accentuate the glitched vocal.
38.464 - 16th for consistency since its placed on 26.468
                                42.151, 42.276 & 42.526 - missing 24th, 12th, 12th respectively
47.274 - Preferably to have it accentuate the fading sound.
                                -original-

                                -suggestion-

                                48.024 to 50.273 - Mines here possibly?
50.273 to 50.648 - Missing 4th, 8th and 16th respectively as it signifies the next section.
53.647 - could place a mine here or go with what I suggested back in 23.657
                                54.022 - a mine on c4 since there is a kick
56.365 - sound not prominent enough to warrant a jump here
56.459 - ghost 16th here. You can replace it with a mine though if you want but the sound isn't prominent on my end to warrant that note.
56.678 - 192nd here to accentuate the -click- sound
56.834 - Misisng 16th here to declare the ascension of the freeze. I will recommend that you put this as a freeze.
                                -original-

                                -how it should be-

                                57.396 - Freeze should end at 56.677
                                57.958 - Freeze should end at 58.052
58.146 - should be accompanied by the missing 32nd on 58.240, can replace it as a mine if needed.
58.240 - missing 32nd here. Can substitiute arrow for mine if you want to.
                                58.708 - Missing 16th, should be freeze.
                                59.645 & 60.020 - Freezes on those two spots
                                62.270 & 62.457 - Missing 4th & 16th respectively
66.018 to 68.268 - Mines can continue on here to accentuate vocals/Mine Theory
                                83.076 & 83.263 - Mini-freezes here to accentuate sound
86.449 - Sound isn't too prominent to have the freeze that long. Can be shorter.
                                87.949 - Same as 86.449.
                                96.813, 97.391, 97.555, 98.141 & 98.297 - Mines can go here for the chirps.
                                102.804, 103.389, 103.569, 104.139 & 104.288 - ^
                                105.560, 106.990, 107.396 & 107.833 - Mines here for accentuation
                                107.560 - Missing 64th here
                                108.810 to 120.001 - same as the section from 96.813 to 107.833
146.993 to 147.274 - You can get away with having these be mines since the sound isn't too prominent.
                                157.490 - Freeze should end on 157.771
164.566 to 166.854 - You can mess around with mines here. Can definitely utilize a bit of Mine Theory here for the static vocals.
                                166.917 - You can place a 32nd or a 192nd here.
194.861 to 195.767 - Same as I pointed out on the section starting at 96.813 to 98.297
199.102 to 199.781 - You can actually get away with this being a regular 16th trill and save the trouble of using color theory here.
                                200.273 to 201.757 - look at 96.813 to 98.297
                                204.030 to 205.287 - ^
                                205.030 - Missing 64th
                                205.100 to 205.850 - Look at 199.102 to 199.781
205.850 to 206.037 - Missing burst here, should be a 32nd burst. Should rearrange pattern so that it won't look derpy as fuck.
206.279 to 207.029 - same as the sections mention with 96.813
Ending - There are the chirps that are similar to the ones that I have tacking with the 96.813 secion, the Jack usage is great actually and throughout the file I actually didn't fall asleep hard which is a great thing \o/

The Quads are still questionable in my opinion as I don't see where those quads go to, I just want to have the quads cleared up to me especially due to the lack of hands in the file. I also still stand by the face that you should have more liberties of using Hands to distinguish the sounds that you are trying to accentuate.
11.752 - Not sure what the quad is for. Mind clearing this up for me? There are sother instances where the quads are questionable in this chart.
                                22.008 - Missing 32nd
22.454 - You can get away with this being a hand. [234] hand
22.617 to 23.103 - Still think that the PR should be fixed here.
23.103 - This can be a hand as seen in the previous pic
23.427 to 23.752 - Rearrange the two jumps (on 23.427 and 23.589) to be [13] jumps, place the 16th on [2], and followed by a [134] hand on 23.752
                                24.400 - Hand, [123]
                                24.481 - Shift the 16th to c4 and the 8th on 24.562 to 3
                                24.644 & 24.725 - This is actually anchored. Should be [12][14]
                                24.887 - For consistency, [14] jump.
                                24.887 to 25.049 - This is actually a 24th burst. And the 4th on 25.049 is a hand, [134]
                                25.211 - Jump.
                                25.211 to 25.373 - Again, 24ths. And the 4th on 25.373 is not a jump.
                                25.535 - Jump.
                                25.535 to 25.698 - Same as the one from 24.887 to 25.049
                                26.346 - Hand
                                26.427 - Misisng 16th
26.752 - Jump here. Make it a [24] Jump to flow with the [13][24] jumptrill.
                                27.076 - Jump
                                27.238 - Jump
26.995 to 27.319 - [14][23] jumptrill for sake of flow
27.400 - If you are following the stuff above, shift it to c3 so that you won't make an anchored jack.
                                27.644 - Hand
                                28.292 - Hand
                                28.941 - Hand
                                29.184 & 29.265 - Should be a minijack. No jumps needed here. 33 minijack.
                                29.589 - Hand
29.833 - No jump, anchor the jack with the 2 on the [23] jump that's on 29.914
                                30.238 - Hand
                                30.481 & 30.562 - 22 minijack here, remove the jump.
                                30.887 - Hand
31.211 to 32.508 - Should just be a [12][34] jumptrill on this section since the drums are being accentuated and filled in this section.
32.508*** - Please make this freeze shorter. It feels so awkward to hit the jumps on this. I blame you hi19 Dx

62.022 to 62.671 - Missing 32nds, use mines to accentuate the sound.
                                63.589 - Missing 48th here.
                                63.806 - Make it a single note.
64.454 to 67.535 - Bursts are actually 24th as I mentioned, also, the patterning on this is brutal lmao. (I still think that the patterning on this is derpy as fuck lmao)
65.103 - Make it single note or mine
66.400 - Make it single note or mine
68.995 - Make it single note or mine
                                69.644 to 72.725 - Same as the section from 64.454 to 67.535
84.400 - At least remove the freeze note there, feels awkward when its here.
                                85.698 - Hand, [123]
                                89.589 - Shorten the Freeze
                                97.698 - Same as 11.752
110.508 to 112.941 - Instead of them being quads, make them Hands. It has the sufficient intensity of being hands without making it feel forced from the quad.
117.571 - Shift note down to 117.591, make it a [24] jump since PR is off there.

Nice typo on the banner :v Anyhow, fun easy MA file to play on. Although I might be nitpicky on the jack usage since they were sparsely used, and I think its because you were layering the vocals instead? Just need that cleared up, also there were some missing jumps that I noticed. I'll pull up the notes tomorrow when I'm not working.

I remember that you sent this for Keyboardsmash and judging it. I assume the Medium chart was never suppose to be there? Anyhow, there could be some additional jump usages here and there that I will point out in the notes tomorrow but for now, I feel this is better than what you have sent for Keyboardsmash.

I'm leaning this lightly towards Accept because I actually like seeing two different approaches to this song (the one in FFRCP4 and yours) and I think yours is different enough to be placed in for the pack. There are some things I will point out for tomorrow.

I remember playing this a few days back, but I honestly want to see this being cut since it doesn't offer much to be honest, which kinda dampened me a bit when I was expecting it to be like the child of Apocynthion Dive lmao. But yeah, this would need a cut before this gets in to be honest. File drags on way too much and I almost fell asleep towards the end x:

Sync is off by a 48th. Layering felt arbitrary in terms of jumps and hands usage. You do have the basic know-how on how the file should be crafted but personally the song choice didn't lend to much variety.

Compared to Xel's chart for it in ODI3, this one is better in my opinion. The only complaint that I can tell right off the bat is that the burst at the intro is pr'd wrong. The rest I would have to look at it in more detail.

Why does this sound like Blue Zenith mashed with Freedom Di-oh wait...it's a Xi song. Song choice aside, I have no qualms over it, I just think this is more suited for something like an Icyworld pack to be honest. Nothing too erroneous, just how that file itself is layered.

The file is fun don't get me wrong, but I think that its better suited that this song gets a cut, it feels so long at times that I lose my focus on the file when I play it (Same issue that I have with Jombo's file, although this song isn't as long as his file). Offset should be 3.721 This does honestly feel like a tiny OST being compiled in one track to be honest and I think has the most potential out of the files you have sent to this pack. I would say not to be afraid to experiment with holds and mines, along with some color theory on this file since there is plenty of potential to play around with these things. Keep trying!

Much better! There is a slight shift in sync at the end but that can be easily remedied on. Make 127.955 at 157.182 BPM and 134.337 at 113.261 BPM. But other than that, this is a much better chart. Missing some 32nds that can be flourished (like one at 8.048) Anyhow, keep at it!
