find these two files and delete them if you want your computer to live past 5 years.

C\:Program files\puush\ puush.daemon.exe
and
C\:Users\(name)\appdata\puush\puush.daemon.exe

looks like some of the links that direct to how to fix the problem were also hacked..

putting instructions here for removal:

Remove the following files from your computer:
C:\Program Files\puush\puush.daemon.exe
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\puush\puush.daemon.exe
Uninstall Puush
Run a virus/spyware/malware scan

essentially the issue only applies to those that had puush automatically update from r93 to r94. puush automatically updated for me but my anti-virus detected the threat immediately and removed it.

the latest update (r100) is safe to use and will alert you if your system was affected by the malware at all.

I like puush. They're doing a good job of handling the situation. Their new update should have eliminated the malware, so people should still be (by a loose definition) in the clear. Running the removal tool and MBAM is probably a good idea tho.

And change your passwords folks.
