I hate when in conversation with a group of people about someone's personal problems, regardless of what's being discussed, another person tries to make an analogy about a similar situation they've been in and how they overcame it personally. That sounds pretty asshole-ish of me if I stopped there, but I'm referring to the people that try to make this analogy regardless of how obscure or specific the person's problem is, often to the point where their comparison makes almost literally no sense, and their sole contribution to the discussion is this extremely left-field non sequitur that makes myself and others feel like they're only trying to shift the focus of attention to themselves. Also the fact that these people believe they can empathize with literally anything annoys me to no end.

would be #1. Really don't enjoy hearing someone talk this and that about what other people I know and care for are doing "wrong" with their lives. It makes me feel highly uncomfortable.

Presuming "Like" means I want to be friends and "Dislike" means I don't want to hang around people with those traits.

Like:
People Who Are Nice and Respectful - DUHHH. And I don't mean just to me, but people in general, whether it's children, disagreeable persons, or otherwise. Anyone can be respectful to a respectful person, but not necessarily someone rude or innocent. Those who can are the true gentility of society!!!

People With Pretty Hair - you never said this had to exclusively have to do with personality
Knowledgeable People - I like it when I can learn important stuff from my friends.



Dislike:
Overly-sensitive People - Can't really think of a better phrase, but as in, people who make a big deal of something simply because a small minority finds it annoying or offensive. I'm not saying people should be tactless and make rape/Holocaust/terrorist type jokes with blatant disregard, but it's frustrating for that one person to raise a complaint for the hypothetical person that would have been offended if he/she were present. I don't like it when a person raises distaste over something trifling either, but I can understand in certain cases when the person has a serious issue on the matter (eg. someone suffering OCD).
Backbiters - I don't mind people speaking behind others back if there's a purpose; warning someone that Person A is rude and disrespectful if he/she is visiting your house or hurt the speaker's feeling or anything similar is very different from complaining about Person A when you'll never meet the person.
People Who Don't Believe in Anything with Scientific Backing - h8. I don't understand why anyone could possibly want to hinder themselves from becoming smarter.

mostly, i hate people who constantly ask for shit without being much or any use in return. (but those who do stuff for others a lot are pretty nice.)

things i like about people: idk i've always been friends with people who are unpopular and generally disliked for specific reasons, you simply don't need to be a piece of shit.
funny people are the best tho. ty funny people.

Anyway as strange as it may seem to the ones who have met me, I tend to prefer calmer, quiet people. But overall I'm alright with all kinds of individuals that are simply nice. Even if they aren't exactly the kinda people I befriend, the only way to see wether or not we can be good friend is how our relationship develops. I don't make much of an opinion on people before that. I kinda like people to keep their distances though. I can be a super energetic person, and I'll genuinely enjoy it, but it wears me out very quickly. So people who are nice and who are fine with not talking to me IRL for months and then pick it up where we left off are probably the most likely to be fine with me.

I can't stand unprioritized people, get your Fucking shit together. I understand being lazy and not cutting your lawn for a week or something. people get lazy. But when you have your nails did and getting drunk every night, but not paying your damn bills, you're a pest in society.

I like honesty, whether we agree or not, don't beat around the bush. Also, don't be a dick about it, we're suppose to be adults people.

Never answered the question myself though--
I like people who are blunt. It's nice to know that I can take what another person says at face value, and for me that positive outweighs the occassionally negative remarks that come from someone always speaking his or her mind.
On the flipside, I tend to dislike people who are, for the lack of a better word, "fake."

Also I just generally like people who seem chill and have a decent sense of humor

I like people who tell it like it is, without (excessive) bias. I don't like easily offended people because I'm a blunt person myself.

I enjoy people who don't display much ego, live in the moment, and like learning.

I don't want to be affiliated with people who think intelligence directly correlates to their worth as a person and therefore judges others based on how intelligent they think other people are. Often this person type overestimates their own intelligence and thinks everyone else is retarded.
