it's a known fact that everyone and their dog on this site assumes both the chat group of kbo irc/skype and the dead ass elitist circlejerk game are one in the same and I want to make it as clear as possible that fuck bufang and keybeat, we have nothing to do with them

okay I'll stop being mad and be real for a second:
#kbo is merely an epicenter for rhythm game nerds to gather and chat about common interests—the name/acronym of it has absolutely no representation or relation to keybeat online (kommi and I have run the irc channel practically since creation date). we aren't an elitist circlejerk, anyone can join or drop by and over the past 4 years we've had people from communities all over the place come together: ffr, odi (rip), bluexoon (rip), red fraction (rip), otaku's dream, vocamania, smoc, thirdstyle, osu, and random people that don't belong to any of which but wanted somewhere to chat about common interests.

the community I experienced back in 2010 was not pleasant though (or was it because I was 12???)

If people realized that we changed our name after already under the assumption that we're somehow related to Hitler, that doesn't really help the fact does it?

There was never a time where our IRC denied people from going in or kicked people out for no reason. GD and I, among others, advertise it on our signatures everytime we post and that's not for no reason..

While I'll agree that the Skype group is somewhat constrained, this is mainly due to Skype's group member limitations and not primarily due to circlejerking

good point, but you're assuming that the negative perceptions of #kbo and the Skype group are all derived from perceptions of stargroup's game/website, which... may not be true? I kind of have no idea what's happening here to be honest lol.

stargroup checked in here at ffr for a while and, from what I saw, he was friendly with everyone. not sure what happened in the past, but I don't think the public hatefest should continue.

The skype group is mine. I have no relation to CosmoVibe whatsoever. I only created it because of close friends like Pat, Jordan, Thai, Chris and some other ppl.

Though anyone is welcome to join, lol. I never closed it off in the first place. It's just that very few people ask me to invite them, that's pretty much it.
