General rule for placements with the divisions in this tourney:

D1 = D1 - low D4
D2 = mid D4 - mid D5
D3 = high D5 - upper-mid D6
D4 = highest D6 and D7

That was more so to prevent people that I know are D5+ from choosing something like D1 in this tourney. I won't move anyone that wants to play above their level, I respect that even more.

However - Your score for the round is the difference between your raw score and the raw score required for a AAA on the song you scored worst on.

And your examples completely mind fucked me. I only just woke up, so maybe it's just me being retarded..but yeah i don't understand haha.
