I've been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to come up with a band or group I would consider a huge Guilty Pleasure of mine.

And...I came up with...

Whitechapel, Rings of Saturn, Despised Icon, Heaven Shall Burn (okay, maybe not that much) and Here Comes the Kraken.

Wait, how come Deathcore/Metalcore embarasses you? Where I stand, those bands have made some pretty enjoyable listens. Especially Despised Icon.

Honestly, I feel embarrassed about every song I like.

Prolly cause I just think that most of my friends/family/society do not want to
listen to things that aren't on the radio,
which in return determines their thinking process, which reveals to me their bias'
and cruel fact that some people treat music as a religion; in a bad way.
And those who are slightly lenient and feel the need to respond with something like, "oh that sounds like a video game", tend to stop their thinking there. They only hear the "cool" 8bit sounds and do not care for the melody, or the possible amount of thought the artist used to compose it because they practice the cliche route of listening to words in a chorus and it's frustrating cause I know that they can not, and will not appreciate music on the level I do.
that's also really prude of me, but I naturally feels this when it comes to music.
I guess it's kinda like that common debate of whether one needs to obtain a certain skill level to fully appreciate something.

to those who do not compose,
I encourage you to;
I want you to.

Half-ashamed/half-not-ashamed to admit that I like most of the covers that came out from the three female top 10 finishers from The X Factor (Fifth Harmony - 3rd place, Carly Rose Sonenclar - 2nd place, Diamond White - 5th place).

The new singles from CRS/5H have the potential to be pretty big top 40 hits if they can just get out to the radio. Can't wait for a studio version of Unforgettable by CRS, and 5H's new single Miss Movin' On is incredibly catchy

All three have been signed -- CRS/5H are signed under Simon Cowell, and Diamond White is apparently signed to Columbia Records? I pay pretty close attention to the finalists but never heard anything about that label.
