3:27 is not too long of a song, but too many repetitive steps are bad

My file is 2:54 and has heavy and oni, not sure if I should finish standard and light before submitting.

take your time, i think putting more time into a chart is definitely worth it

reviewing and updating notes in 2nd post of thread, only 4 files reviews so far but i'll catch up, also waiting on notes from others (it will have playtest results as well from newer players! so you'll REALLY know how newer players feel about the files)

we have possibly a few completely new players trying to playtest and a few intermed players, my IRL friends will also help review.




for stepmania charting/stepping w/e vets who want to volunteer to judge any files during their free time (you don't have to judge all of em), please PM me and i'll give you access to pack email so you can review the files and give feedback (you can PM me feedback so i can put it on the thread post)

resubmitted with the changes you suggested. file is so much better now but who knows if its enough. i agree it feels like it drags on normally but it doesnt when i play it on 1.5x which is still easily AAAable D:

ps dont know what to do with the 1 2 3s right at the beginning of the song. they feel wrong but i dunno.

pss im awful at making stepcharts and always have been but i honestly feel like im getting better. that piece by piece advice really helps

Tested the first batch of songs! In retrospect, my reviews are not as accurate and specific as mi40's, but i hope you'll find them helpful anyway!

How high is the bar set for this pack, Ji? Is it like ODI3? It will change how I write my reviews if they are.

file quality should be as high as possible, esp since it's for beginner/intermed players

also do NOT look @ other people's reviews before writing your own reviews, i want clean, 100% unbiased honest reviews

The reason I asked this is because I am going to let certain things slide, such as how repetitive a file is, depending on the standard.
