Re: FFR Importance
Community: 10/10 since I wouldn't have met Rob without it.
Otherwise idgaf. (giggle) I'm free once I get oni. But then again I have been here for like 7 years.. so I guess game gets 4/10 or so.

Re: FFR Importance
Game is a 3 only because I still want to make files for FFR otherwise it'd be a 0-1
Forums I'd say 6-7 I can't say I care much for the forums anymore
Community is probably 8-9

Re: FFR Importance
The game is like a 7 right now, because it makes me forget about some things and just shut my mind and play. It varies a lot though, sometimes I don't play at all for weeks, and then it'd be on something like a 3 or whatnot. But it's moderately high right now.
The community used to be a flat 0 because I wasn't active, but now that I'm getting more active I'm gonna give it a hesitant 4. Maybe it'll go up some more soon because the people I'm meeting and talking to are pretty awesome :3948 AAAs | 1461 FCs | 549 TPs | 7 FMO AAAs

Re: FFR Importance
Game - 4. I still enjoy it, but I mostly play casually. osu! would probably be my rhythm gaming substitute if I couldn't play FFR for an extended period of time.
Forums - 2. The number of threads I actually post in is pretty limited compared to a lot of our regular forumgoers these days, haha.
Community (including off-forums stuff with the folks from FFR) - 8. I must say, I got to know a lot of awesome people through FFR.Last edited by kjwkjw; 02-13-2013, 10:09 AM.

Re: FFR Importance
the game is a 7 even though I cant play it anymore. I don't think there is any game or series of games I have dumped more time into than FFR although I might of barely spent more time playing the mega man Xs'. Community is amazing and a 10 cause I've met more people I can relate with on so many different levels then I ever thought would be out there although I'm not what you would call the most active person.
edit: maybe all the snes games I've played/beaten/replayed together would equal what I did on FFR? I am pulling guesses out of my ass but yeah in my first 3 years I played a stupid amount of FFR even in comparison to my last 3 years.
edit: got to throw this in there, my ps3 collected dust.Last edited by V-Ormix; 02-13-2013, 10:21 AM.Comment

Re: FFR Importance
FFR the Game- 3
SM the Game- 5
FFR/SM community- 10 *I love you guys!
SM gets a higher rating because I put more time into it, I can really do without either for long periods of time tbh
But the community here is great, even though sometimes you guys suck dick and complain too much, you're all pretty ait as people and I like talking with you. The fact that I've stuck around through the bad and good times really speaks for itself, like I'd miss you guys if i went without internet for like a month or 2 lmaoLast edited by icontrolyourworld; 02-13-2013, 06:44 PM.Comment

Re: FFR Importance
FFR The Game: 5. Hard to say if it's been good for me or bad.
Community: 10. You make me feel like I have friends, but I know that's not true. Thanks for sticking around, guys.

When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

Re: FFR Importance
Game: 4. There's always Stepmania, but FFR and it's competitive stats/tournaments are truly unmatched.
Community: 7. I haven't contributed long enough here to be a part of it, but I have been around for a while and FFR/SM is like a part of my identity.

Re: FFR Importance
I'd give the community+game as a whole a 3 on my importance scale.
But it has helped me immensely in a couple ways.
The game itself gave me a great edge in high school wind ensemble. I could pick up rhythms and sight read at a much higher level than my instrument playing would allude to. I think it also helped with finger dexterity.
For the community, I like the silly things. My favorite times on the forums are during the old Photo Scavenger hunts. Participating in them clicked into the whimsical side of me. They were a lot of fun, and a great way to get to know other players.

3rd Place in the 5th Official FFR Photo Scavenger Hunt
