Well, that's it for me. Been fun. Unless I can pull something crazy out my ass with the volume on, I'm out. Fourth place was better than I expected to do. Good luck to everyone remaining.

Best strat: enjoy the game, play what you feel like when you feel like it. Don't think about what you are doing or why, enjoy the gameplay, the artistry behind the stepfile, and enjoy the music.
When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

Yeah, FFR is addicting...I don't think I'll get bored with this game unless I somehow become the best at it, which won't happen.

You just got to get into the rhythm man. My first few runs are always really bad, but once you have sound it is soooo much better. Trust me, you got this!

All of the songs picked were chosen to push the competitors, so you shouldn't ever expect an easy ride here. Figure out what's giving you problems and attack it in pieces.
Take a video of yourself playing the chart (or a screen capture, even), take a look at the sections that are giving you problems, and focus on the spots that are giving you issues. Are you having trouble timing the jacks? Listen to the song and memorize how far apart they should be, then tap it out. Are you having issues balancing the jumps? Work on the timing on your left-handed jacks separately, and then the right handed separately -- then put them together at a low speed and build up until you're above the original tempo.
I practice tricky patterns on FFR the same way I used to practice/rehearse for my concerts when playing trumpet -- start slow and build up until you can do the song faster than what it's supposed to be; that way, faster sections won't be an issue.
andy-o24: here's your benchmark for this round. good luck. (but not too much)
not improving this unless i have to, this was after 27 restarts:
EDIT:
[10:59 PM] Zapmeister: andy-o24, if i ever find out who you are, i will staple a flag to your butt, and mail you to a remote island infested by tigers, with only
[10:59 PM] Zapmeister: a pack of playing cards and some poker chips.
[11:00 PM] Zapmeister: i will then instruct the tigers to vehemently devour you as soon as you either lose, or if you bad beat the tigers.
Theorem: If you have a large enough number of monkeys, and a large enough number of computer keyboards, one of them will sight-read AAA death piano on stealth. And the ffr community will forever worship it. ProofExample
