Dragon episode was badass but the best parts all came before the actual dragons.

Also, I've been picking up mlp toys whenever I eat at mcD's because they're free and because **** you ponies are rad. I've been travelling a lot these past few weeks, and McDonalds is the only airport restaurant that will give you lunch for under $15, so I have an AJ, a Cheerilee, a Lily Blossom, and 4 Fluttershy's. I've begun referring to them as "the fleet".

I went to McDonald's twice yesterday but completely forgot about ponies until after. *facepalm*

Also, haven't seen the new episode yet but my brother says its really good. I'll check it out later tonight.

I really liked this episode. Apart from Fluttershy and Pinkie sounding exactly alike this episode, I enjoyed pretty much everything about it.

Incredibly good episode this week. Kind of dark and serious for a kids show, really, but I think this was probably one of the best episodes aired yet. The animation was superlative and the story was compelling and relatable. The episode also contained a slew of new background characters and names and helped expand on how pegasi control equestrian weather, which is a rad bonus.

Spitfire just stands there being useless. They're about not going to have enough water for food/etc in Ponyville, and surely Spitfire is a strong flyer being one of the Wonderbolts, but decides to sit back and not contribute simply because she's apparently on the Filliedelphia team or a judge or on some other team or something, despite the fact the Ponyville team wasn't going to win anyway and needed this for strict survival (food/water/etc...)?

So she'll just stand there, while the others get worn out, injured, etc...?

On an unrelated note, I finally got a McDonalds pony toy The stupid ring attachment is annoying though.

Yeah the spitfire thing really bothered me, but other than that this was an amazing episode. Fluttershy training montage was hilarious. Whenever Fluttershy was imagining being made fun of, all I could think of was SHED.MOV and it made me happy. I always find the Rainbow Dash/Fluttershy relationship to be a funny one. The steroids pony with tiny wings was funny. The pegasi turning to Spike for a translation of Twilight-talk made me laugh. All around a fantastic episode.

The finale looks like it's going to be epic, and apparently Hasbro is going all out on marketing and publicity. They're even getting Tori Spelling (who hosted the actual royal wedding) to host it. Is it bad that I'm more excited for this wedding than I was for the actual one?

Tori Spelling To Host 'My Little Pony' Royal Wedding

Right on the heels of the news that she's pregnant with her fourth child, Tori Spelling has another important announcement: She's hosting the "My Little Pony" Royal Wedding.

After serving as co-host for E!'s coverage of Prince William and Kate Middleton's British Royal Wedding last year, Spelling is reprising her role for the union of Princess Celestia’s niece, Princess Cadence, to Twilight Sparkle’s brother, Shining Armor, on the animated series "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic."

I was in the middle of watching Around the Horn on ESPN about a half hour ago, and I saw a commercial from our cable service advertising the My Little Pony Royal Wedding with a trip to London.

Looks like Hasbro's TV media blitz has begun.

EDIT: This was the clip I was talking about. I did not record this. It's nothing special, but I just thought it was weird to see MLP being advertised on ESPN.

I like to make little paper hats and use the key ring nub as support. I have Pope Fluttershy, party hat Lily Blossom, Chef AJ, and a few others. I'm justifying this severe lack of manliness by telling myself this is more of a TF2 thing than an MLP thing. It actually might be true, even. God I love hats.

Also Hurricane Fluttershy is one of the few episodes I have gone back to and watched for no reason. Seriously, everything about that episode was just stellar. I used to wonder how long the upward quality trend would last back in S1, I worried about a possible sophomore slump, but it just keeps getting better! Compare the first few episodes of S1 to pretty much any of the last couple episodes. The bump in animation and music quality is insane. Am I psyched for the finale? Better ****ing believe it. It'll probably top the Archer finale, at least.

Too bad the brony thing got as big as it did, though. I really can't help but think the community hit its peak quite a while back. Any of you guys going to be at AnimeNorth by any chance? Seems like most of FFR is going and it'd be nice to meet a fellow MLP fan that doesn't immediately irritate me.

Oh shit, I'll actually be in Toronto that weekend (and Waterloo for the uWaterloo open house). I've never been to a convention though, so I dunno if I'd go. It seems fun but I'd have nobody to go with, since I don't live in Toronto.
