    Re: First file

You can always click on my sig to find Patashu's guide. This is the place I told you to go in order to download DDReam. The video up there is very useful and other cool functions are listed as well in the first post.

yeah, use DDReam to get your syncing on point

183.61 should make the song exactly on beat in DDReam

            Re: First file

Looking at it in DDream, the most stable sync seems to be at 183.601 BPM, with an offset of -0.228 (looked at with wave filter + zoom 7).

The bass drum in this song makes it fairly easy to find using a wave filter because there's a giant spike in the waveform right at the tip. It never seems to hold on any specific number, but .601 seems to keep it steady for the longest time. There might be a ridiculously fine change somewhere in the song.

              Re: First file

              y thanks a bunch halogen =)
well i cut the song about 1 minute and the offset etc. was kinda different now

anyways, i spent a lot of time in getting used to ddream ..,i looked up the BPM / Offset with DDream, its so epicly precisely , after i cuted the song my offset + bpm , in order to match all the bass notes now is :
183.602 and an offset of 0.305 ..., its all fine now xD

I will finish my file , change some steps , add some more variety and make sure all the placed arrows make a sense , so u will be able to feel what Beat / sound u are actually playing =)

I hope i will find some volunteers again if my work is finished =)
              Anyways:
Thanks a bunch to all testers and reviews so far ^_^

Stepping is a process, just keep it up and eventually you'll get the file where you want it.

                            Re: First file

                            My review:

HOLY JESUS. That newer version is 30 times better than your previous one, good job!!! This review is going to be much shorter, as I don't have as many things to point out. Most of the things I could talk about (difficulty, jump placement, etc...) would be pretty subjective, so I'll only go straight to the point and name the few errors left that I caught. But, before I begin, let me applaud you for that huge progress.

                            - Your folder for your song is still incorrectly identified. In stepmania, everything is ok (even that sexy new cdtitle shows up, wow!). You only need to replace "Dj Sharpnel (DarkBreezee)" by "The Others (DarkBreezee)" in your song folder (aka Windows)
                            - You said that the sync would be perfect, but the notes come up too soon this time around (aka the song's BPM isn't constant and you'll have to make small adjustments throughout the song with DDReam by tweaking the beats one by one).
                            - I still dislike the idea of having 34th streams at that BPM, they form a wall that is pretty much impossible to master.
                            - I like the progression you made through the song, notably that in the beginning you removed the jumps. This made the learning curve of your song much much better!
                            - Nice cut, although I don't think the place-holder note in the end was really necessary?

                            ... overall, 4/5! 80%! GOOD JOB.

                              Click me !

                              Latest changes:

->Some BPM / Offset changes to match the sync even with x0,5 speed ( switches often between 183.61- .58)

->Decided to take out the 32th walls, due to the fact that the stream part in the middle of the song is difficult enough, want to keep this song still be AAA-able, without getting berserk because of these doom walls.
                              => replaced them with 4 x 16th waves :
                              0004
                              0030

                              1000
                              0004
                              0030
                              0200
                              1000
                              etc.

-> Cut the song from ~4:40 to 3:30

Again thanks to all the testers =)
