I wouldn't nominate anyone else without an interview since you have to dig for mod qualities, as some are not overt.

They both were vanguards of the authoritarian modding style common during their time on the site, and they used their mod status more for popularity than for community improvement. They later became propagators of the cliquey forum politics that eventually led to FFYa. I don't dislike them as people -- they were good posters -- but I don't think they were good mods.

Wow that's not even remotely accurate. They didn't care what people thought of them on FFR and were against the idea of ffya (beyond simply removing those people from the general population, anyway). Maybe they were like that before but certainly not since I met them in 2007.

Except the authoritarian bit. They did actually enforce rules. That much is true.

Why are you telling me about their indifference to the opinions of the others? My post doesn't imply anything with respect to their feelings toward those opinions. I also don't know why you quoted the entire post and not just the part you were responding to -- does their indifference somehow make them less authoritarian moderators?
