Almost looks like my for FFR from when the site was down lol. I can't remember now if this is my actual best I think I had done one run a little bit better but hadn't posted it iuno anymore lol and lol at me for missing the last note XD

Why does there even need to be a line? If you post anything under an FMO AAA in the other thread no one even notices it.

there needs to be a line because this thread is the AMATEUR ffr scores thread


im not saying i dont support this thread because i very much do but there has to be a line as far as skill level is concerned. if there is no line then this thread is just going to be dominated by the best of the worst players of the other thread. then this thread will become EXACTLY how the ffr scores thread is now. after a while someone will then make a beginners FFR scores thread and all this drama will continue

Seems to me that every skill level is getting noticed here to me even if they are new so I really don't see the issue.

But whatever I just wont post scores anywhere then since it's such an issue. Such a stupid thing to be arguing about period.

You do realize that most of the people who are striving to get the FMO AAAs are still lurking within this thread because a.) people are actually commending one another and b.) there's a lot more relaxed/less competitive atmosphere here. Yes, there's standout players, but how many of them are people who will get attention in the FFR scores thread in the future if they were to post it? I mean, players in the FFR scores thread don't even seem to want to do anything more than just drop their scores and nothing else. Trevor (T-Force) has posted in the FFR scores thread on more than one occasion with some fairly solid FMO scores, yet he got ignored. Kayla (psychoangel691) posted a VC AAA and it just got completely brushed off.

You want a general guideline? If you have [Oni], don't post a score in the thread. If you're SDGing tons of FMOs, get out. If you have decent FGO scores (< 25g), get out. If you have a multitude of VC AAAs and are a step away from getting [Oni], get out. Stop being so literal and drawing lines and just follow IMPLIED rules. Look at the skill set of the people who are actually posting in here and the skills of people actually posting in the other thread.

it's hard to draw lines for skill levels really, since there is basically.. an infinite possibility of scores..

10 goods on FMO, or 30 goods on FMO? do we strictly cut off someone who has 9 goods on Silence, and keep someone with 11 goods on Silence? kind of like that

it's really subjective imo, and when the general community agrees that someone has improved to the point of being able to post on the regular FFR Scores thread with some recognition, THEN that person has now "graduated" :/

That was a run with autofail 1 miss on so it's not the entire song XD if I had gotten through the song like that I would have gotten probably 3-4 tier points in 1 run XDDDDDD

lol, if everyone in this thread posted at this rate in the other thread it wouldnt seem like pros scores are swamping these scores. When lower skill players post like once every now and then while the top players are posting consistently, of course it will cause those lower level scores to be over looked. The solution to all this is just to have these people post as much as they do in this thread over in the original FFR scores thread then we can all be in one thread again. All the people in the main FFR scores thread are over here anyway so dont see why we need to continue to separate each other.

look at the score progression in the original ffr scores thread from the first couple hundred pages. there were people posting scores from various difficulties until it got narrowed down to the best of the best. i just have a feeling the same thing will happen now without guidelines. kind of how SM has AA disregard as their pro/not pro for the speed players.

back in the days, just SEEING crazy scores in the FFR Scores thread made me feel really, really discouraged

i'm speaking from experience, because when i got like 50 goods and 10 averages on reality (with a non-mashed FC and maybe 30 boos), i was REALLY proud of myself, but then i saw those crazy scores in the FFR Scores thread with rubix, shash, smartdude, etc etc.. and i felt like i needed to make my OWN thread for some attention & recognition (i posted in the FFR scores thread quite a few times and got ignored) so i made new threads for myself, and then and only THEN i got some comments on how to improve & and encouragements

all in all, the other thread has people like alexdest, samurai, [insert any elite player here that does decent on FMO+ songs] so amateur players get discouraged



this thread is good, the encouragements are nice, and it's probably the only way to get more people to keep playing & training (aka motivation)
because really, the only motivation i had for practicing SM/FFR a lot in 2009/2010 was.. recognition! people recognized me from the 5th official tournament so i started playing a lot more.

also..
if you haven't noticed, all the "elite" players have joined / started playing in like, 2005

notice how nobody "started" in 2009 or 2010 (well, most likely because of time constraints) but you know what i mean.. people haven't been joining.

it's been the same people OVER and OVER again..

time for a change guys, time for us to foster newer players & encourage them, yeah?
