Scientists may have found a particle that goes fast than light.

If this is true physics may be changed forever again. I am kind of excited on how this might out.

Sounds interesting. Wonder how it will turn out also.

Nah, Mad Matt made three of them awhile ago, IIRC. Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

I wanted to say this but couldn't find it within myself to do it. Thanks!

EDIT: partial ITG pun: this particle violates causality.

Wow. Just wow. If it turns out to be true, it may very well be the most awesome (and scary) shit to ever be discovered this past century.

It's funny how all of these scientist would go crazy if this subatomic particle was faster than the speed of light lol... I'm sure that Einstein would want someone to prove him wrong, indicating the growth of science :3

Re: Scientists may have found a particle that goes fast than light.

Weird, I readed an article this week about chinese scientists making experiments with photons, since photon's maximum speed was never tested and found. Turns out that, after these experiments, they found out that photon's speed, which was unknown, is still lower than light. The photons, being the "last hope" on finding something faster than light, just proved that, like Einstein said, nothing can go faster than it.

Now I'll read this article and see what is right.

If this is true, Deep Space Exploration may yet be possible. Good work, scientists.

Just like light, we can't do anything with Neutrinos. It's kind of been like a 50 year project and all we can do is read that they exist by attempting to detect them with like 52 thick plates of hard steel located a mile underground. The fact that they might be faster than light is interesting, but we can't really do anything with it at this point.
