    Hatsune Miku recites over 10,000 digits of pi

    Happy Pi Day!

    This file is based on this amazing Youtube video. Although it's a little over an hour long, it keeps changing just enough to let you zone out without getting bored, and it's actually kinda fun to listen to. I figured it'd be fun to play on Stepmania too, and hey, it's Pi Day, right?

    As for the steps itself, this song is at a comfortable 150 bpm, and I made three difficulties:
    - Light is single steps only, in case any casual players want to try this.
    - Medium is 8th note steps and jumps, and is the most technically correct - and probably the most fun to play if you want to relax.
    - Heavy is jumpstream, for all you js fiends out there. It can get kinda heavy (up to a jump on each 8th note) so don't think this will be too easy.
    All of the steps are randomly generated, so if you see the same pattern twice it's a coincidence (just like pi!).

            I had an idea for something like this a long time ago to compress sequences of tap notes on a 4-key file into a single character for every note or combination thereof, but I never shared it for fear of getting shunned.

            1 = left-down
            2 = down
            3 = down-right
            4 = left
            5 = left-right
            6 = right
            7 = left-up
            8 = up
            9 = up-right
            0 = down-up

            A = down-up-right
            B = left-up-right
            C = left-down-right
            D = left-down-up
            ! = quad

            Bolded part is relevant to this file. (By the way, world record is something around 42K digits.)

              I honestly think I'm unable to experience any negative emotions on pi day

              I had the absolute worst day yesterday (won't go into it because derailing and lol who cares) and I was bitching to a couple of my friends this morning about it, but they said to me "Rob, none of that matters"

              "what, why not"

              "BECAUSE IT'S PI DAY TODAY!!~*~*~*!*!*~*!*"

              ...and that seriously fixed everything

              also, I'll dl and play the file when I get home~

                Hm, yeah, that could be interesting. But you'd have a pretty hard time memorizing 42,000 taps/jumps of a song, maybe even harder than just learning the digits o_0

                Apparently the Guinness-official record is up to 67k now, and Akira Haraguchi unofficially recited 100k digits... insane. I think I knew 400 or so in high school.

                  It was originally intended as an alternative notation system, but whatever.

                  Wonder if anyone's tackled e or phi yet, even though the former is defined as a limit and the latter can be written in exact form.

                    Ohai. I wouldn't be surprised if someone AAA'd, the main problem was the length. /captain obvious
