    FL studio

    So, somehow i deleted where the pattern bars go in Fl Studio 9, and I have absolutely no idea how to get the bars back.



    I have done everything in the view tab and it still doesn't work. Also tried closing the file and re-opening and it doesn't work.

    Anyone who can help?

    EDIT: fixed the problem by reinstalling

                      What the hell is a filter automation?

                      It's sad that I've been using FL for 5+ years and don't know this...

                          Well firstly, your screenshot probably doesn't show enough to actually pinpoint the problem, but I'm betting it's because you right-clicked the median between the two, which will completely minimize it. I know you fixed the problem already by reinstalling, but that's hardly even a viable solution and you shouldn't have to resort to it.

                          Secondly, using patterns is stupid, so they should be gone anyway, use the tracks/playlist to arrange.

                          @custom (oops): 5 years? Look some stuff up man lmao. LFO = low frequency oscillator. You know what that is right? Automations are basically changes within parameters you set throughout the song. Also look up modulation. Easy, easy stuff to find out about.

                                  Does anyone know if they completely did away with it? I'm using 9.9 and since about 9.6 I think its been completely gone.

                                      From what I understand, they were planning on getting rid of patterns and urged everyone to stop using blocks altogether. A great idea imo.

                                              Theres a forum post with it Guru. And I'm using 9.9 and its gone, I never used it anyway so i'm indifferent.

                                                  Protip: Just use ****in' pattern clips instead of the really lame pattern-bar sequencer at the bottom.

                                                      I still use the pattern bars 0.o. Though i use pattern clips when needed. Though I mostly use the top part for automation clips and vocals and SFX.

                                                          Anyways yeah pattern blocks are le gone as of v10. As of 9.9 you can still turn them on in the general settings under the checkbox option "Legacy Pattern Clips" or something like that. But seriously pattern blocks are inferior, it would be best to learn to use clips. Saves space & time.
