pattern bars are quite useful. for like your downbeat and snare and hi hats. I only use the top for automation clips, because i h8 how crowded it gets when you have a shitload of clips mixed with automations.

Though I guess everyone has their own style and technique's when it comes to FL

You cant chop up pattern bars without making a whole new pattern.

And if you stay organised it wont be crowded at all.

I meant in the block viewer, you cant chop them without creating a new pattern, as apposed to just cutting it up in the top view.
