Let's get a fun discussion going!!! I've been listening to Dubstep for roughly 4 years now, so no, I'm not some scene kid who heard Skrillex's new EP released under Mau5trap Recordings, and went, "OMG DUBSTEP! I LOVE THAT BAND!" LOL
If you're a dubhead, then you'll be able to list AT LEAST 5 fairly easily. (I know, there's so many great tracks to choose from.) Even if someone before you listed a track that you want to list, list it again anyways.
If you've never heard of dubstep, then this will be a good opportunity for those people to look up the tracks people are listing, and see what the craze over this "fairly new" genre is all about.
If you don't like dubstep whatsoever, then no worries, just don't participate.
In two weeks, I'll compile 25-30 tracks that were mentioned the most, and do an hour-long mix highlighting the best that 2010 had to offer!
So again, all you have to do is list a mere 5 tracks, and if you want, a brief description of why you chose those track. ...Here. I'll start
* Chasing Shadow's remix of 'Red'.
* 16bit remix of 'Machine Gun'.
* Drumsound & Bassline's track 'R U Ready'.
* Excision & Datsik's 'Swagga'.
* Nero's remix of 'Hot 'N Fun'.
I chose those tracks because as a DJ, it's your job to be on top of it all. Those tracks exemplified not only what got the dance floor going NUTS time after time, but tracks that I listen to obsessively at home, in the car, and at work, and will continue to do so for years to come I'm sure.
