Okay, so first order of business.
I have been on a leave for several months due to 3 factors.
1. Working a strenuous summer job that takes up 16-20 hours a day of my time, much like last year.
2. Currently buying a home, just got approved so getting that all going is taking a lot of my time.
3. I broke my hand a couple months ago, healed and re-broke it and JUST got out of the cast a second time so I haven't had any general interests or desires to play FFR until now.
So, here's what I want from the community, more or less just feedback.
First off, with what NSane has been doing for FFR's engine and the awesome "solo" style FFR stargroup has going AND the songs that are still(surprisingly) being added, I'm very much tempted to return to the community not only as a player but an active member that engages in the forums for fun, help or advice, or just general interests. But my return is up ultimately to the community whether they had fun with me or not. Seems selfish but yeah, I left partially due to how I started to be treated and no, not because of DOTY because still I laugh about that. Lol.
Secondly, "The 3rd Unofficial Tournament" FFR's premier unsponsered tournament ran purely by members of the community. With my timing of events in my life it's possible I would be able to start this tournament once the Official has found it's end. There are two issues that arrise with this.
1. I WILL NOT have all day every day to perform updates therefore for the typical working hours of the day I will elect a responsible and active member to engage in renewing scores as they are posted throughout the day until I return to resume the work myself.
(This is of course if I am NOT able to use the awesome power of the dashboard for this tournament which I have yet to talk to the admins about but IF I am able to well hell, what work would there really be to do :P but if I am NOT able to utilize such a great tool then the for-mentioned actions of electing someone to keep scores will still continue as planned)
2. I WILL NOT have cash prizes for dual reasons. Those being that with buying a house I really have no money left for donations to the community to be dead honest and also because this tournament DOES mimic the Official as closely as possible and since this years tourney doesn't contain cash prizes I could only offer vast credit donations and possible subbies from both myself and from the community as donations for prizes of this tournament.
So here also if people liked the past Unofficial tournaments and would like to see the continued tradition of the 3rd Unofficial Tournament, please speak your mind here. My activities and agendas involving FFR will be strictly determined by the community and my desire to start playing this great game once more.
