I only went trick-or-treating once, in preschool (and it doesn't really count, since my whole class did it together).
I don't see why you're so upset about not getting an excessive amount of chemically infused, unhealthy **** that rots your teeth - if you really want candy, just go buy some. It only costs a few dollars for an entire bag.

ve gone trick or treating with a huge group of friend the past couple years without dressing up
not doing it this year though since i live in ****ing rancho and everyone is in p-dale

The point is to go dress up and have fun with friends while getting candy. It's not just to get candy. It's the experience.
That said, I haven't gone trick-or-treating for a long time...Halloween parties are more fun.
