Heh, heh, I thought the title was original! I've thumbed through the forum every so often, just to find that reading about the actual game sort of gets boring since I wouldn't be able to do whatever's in question anyway, as hard as I try. I mean, I might...when pigs fly! Well, you have to admit, nothing better than the search to find a quick answer! It's sort of corny, but I believe in grammar, search functions and occasional typos. Whatever, so anyways, that brings me to my question...Am I addicted to FFR? Which might bring me to my next question, can you love doing something you're not good at?
I play, maybe not all day or anything that extreme, but considering how often I do anything else on the computer, I can say at least 60-80% of my computer time...what else? FFR! And look at me, I'm over here with an empty cup right beside me. Trying to full-combo Driveway (the Light version, by Making April) I take a sip of water(yes, WATER) whenever I get more than halfway through the song and more or less literally drown my frustration. I'm getting my bangs out of my eyes, something I should have done about forty credits ago(I've been playing that much today?! Holy...!) and taking my time to blink and not type to any particaular beat. My gosh, it's just...I love this game! But I really suck. If I see too many arrows, sometimes I'll even invert them. I'll get frustrated and not be able to keep track of the arrows anyway. Weird, huh? So, yeah...and I even have to time my blinks! I don't know how you people do it...on one of my plays, I was more of paying attention to something else for a couple of seconds, and forgot I was playing FFR until I saw the arrows. I pulled that one off just fine! Although it would be very boring if that happened every time I played. On another play I totally forgot I was sitting down...imagine that! I'm just telling you how [sarcasm]awesome[/sarcasm] my coordination is and how the way my senses [sarcasm]work together so well when I'm playing[/sarcasm] is totally weird. I just never know what to expect...except for "up...down..."
On another side note, I'm sorry to break this to you, but I believe the correct terminology is "I can play DDR-style games, but not very well." or "I really suck at playing DDR-style games!" but, please, don't say "I can't play DDR-style games." Not in front of me! Even if it's gramatically correct...Y'know, not if you've ever gotten a combo higher than 6. Just a quick reminder.
I also won't be offended if you find the above hilarious, and I wasn't being sarcastic except when clearly denoted in mock BBCode. Huh.
