Guitar Hero 4 or Rock Band 2: Which is Better?

Ok, so 2 awesome rock games are coming out this fall: Neversoft's Guitar Hero 4: World Tour, and Harmonix's Rock Band 2. These are both great games, focusing on the full band theme with 4-player action and 3 different instruments (guitar (bass or lead), drums, and mic). The problem is, I'm not sure which one to buy, because they both are awesome. If you guys could tell me which one you would rather buy and why, it would be cool. Thanks.

In case you're wondering, I personally would rather get Guitar Hero 4 instead right now.

I'd say Rock Band 2, only because I can xfer my 200 songs from Rock Band to there.

Plus it has a better setlist, plus I don't like the GH4 drums, Plus GH is a copy-cat.

Guitar Hero if you're a hardcore gamer.
Rock Band if you're a casual gamer.

I'm definitely going with Guitar Hero. I can't play without hyperspeed.

As much as i agree rockband did similarly copy the guitar. But still rockband 2 because IMO guitar hero is a piece of crap.

Harmonix, the developers behind the Rock Band series, were the ones who developed Guitar Hero, GH2, and the in-between-quel, Rock the '80s.

As for the topic at hand:

Guitar Hero will likely take the route of songs creating artificial difficulty, much like they did with GH3. They will probably focus on making hard charts, rather than making accurate charts. Rock Band, however, will go after slightly more eclectic material that will be charted accurately, even if it means that the Expert difficulty level is not at all hard.

Also: RB2 will be using the better drum kit: 4 pads, 3 cymbals, and potentially double kick. If the second pedal is functional as hihat pedal when relevant, this will support full function of all parts of a basic accoustic kit. The GH kit, however, has 3 pads, 2 cymbals, and a pedal. This means one of their pads should be dedicated snare with 2 toms; long story short, 2 toms are not enough differentiation in that department. And cymbals... should be 1 hihat, 1 crash, and 1 ride; with GH's setup, they'll have to consolidate, probably the ride and crash.

And yeah, RB2's best kit I am alluding to requires extra add-ons, but even the basic kit isn't bad compared to the GH one... I'd still say the basic 4 pads is a better setup than GH's 3 pads with 2 dedicated cymbals.

Aside from that, there's also the custom music generation in GH. Oh and that wonky touch pad on the frets for GH too... can't see how that would be any fun or use though.

So yeah...

GH = challenge over accurate charts
RB = accurate charts instead of artificial difficulty
RB = better drum kit
GH = create original music

If you're just looking for something hard on guitar, GH is probably where you should go. If you're looking for drumming (or would rather play more accurate charts that are easy), go for RB. I don't think the music creation should factor into the decision too much... I expect it'll only be truly useful for players to create their own even harder charts, not necessarily to create original MUSIC.

Guitar Hero is a cop-out now. Don't buy into GH4, god and Afrobean will be angry.

Well, I might get it, but I'm not getting the bundle.
Rock Band irritates me to a severe degree. I'll only play it like once every two months, just to hear the songs.
