Umineko no Naku Koro Ni is the next series by the same author as Higurashi, which takes place near the ocean. This is a lightnovel series, and its animation is not started yet. Umineko=seagull, Higurashi=cicada

I would love to know some recent titles as well. I know so little of this year (like Night Wizard, SSII, CLANNAD, Genshiken2, Nanatsuiro Drops, Hidamari Sketchbook, all not so well known/accepted animes).

deathnote was one of the best manga's i've ever read.
i also read bleach, naruto and fma.

read naruto online, like the advanced newly translated version every week. its amazing.
you might think its too mainstream, but i always thought there HAS to be a reason why its mainstream, y'know?

I like the drama better, only because the anime/manga has the half-crappy ending with N saying, "With the two of us combined, we can beat L." Cheesy.

Drama, L solves everything by sacrificing his life. There's also a cool movie that shows how L lives the last 13 days of his life after Kira dies.
