    I have a poor sense of judgement in naming this thread ... friend.

    Hey guys.. I've been on this site hardcore, but I never decided to sign up til' today. I'm a decent player.. I play on ITG machines, but my first is stepmania.. I found this site in a sig over at bemanistyle, and I've been hooked ever since.

    FFR = My new crack.. cuz you know I guess black people still do crack? lol Anyways.. thanks.

                                      "Negro" is the Spanish word for black. There is nothing inherently racist about the word "Negro", even if it is that very word that is the source for a racial slur.

                                      In addition, there are even some groups with the word "Negro" in the name which refer to people of African descent. I'm thinking specifically of UNCF, here, but I do believe that there are more. Now, I'm not saying that "Negro" is the best choice of word to refer to a black person (I would put it in the same level as "colored"... not specifically a slur especially when removed from context, but not really appropriate either... incidentally, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), but what I am saying is that it is certainly not a slur, especially when there is no specific context to it (ie this user's name).
