This isn't the coldest we've had, but where I live it's supposed to be -47 Celsius tomorrow with the windchill. For the Americans, that's around -52 or so.
What's the coldest weather you've experienced?

Re: What's the coldest weather you've experienced?
Evanston, IL last winter was ridiculous. It was regularly about 20 below with a 30 below wind chill.
But the worst experience I ever had with the cold was three years earlier (still in Evanston). Some idiot from California decided not to turn on his radiator until February, which by then of course the pipes were frozen solid. The radiator exploded forcing a mass exodus out of my dorm at 4 in the morning. As it was 4 in the morning and the fire alarm was going, I didn't think to throw on an extra pair of pants. I just threw on a coat over my pajamas, slipped into flip flops and ran out of the dorm with everyone else. It was 10 below that morning with a 25 below wind chill. Some people were out there without shoes on. People were burrowing in the snow to keep warm. It was amazing.Last edited by All_That_Chaz; 01-28-2008, 02:50 PM.Back to "Back to Earth"

Isn't -47 celcius around -65 Fahrenheit? wtf
Coldest I've been in is probably -15 a few years ago but I don't know for sure. There was a wind chill of around -10 when I left for home early in the morning in Minneapolis last monthComment

Re: What's the coldest weather you've experienced?
Yes. Americans (with exception of Alaskans) should realize how lucky they are.
@Adamaja: I can tell from my cousins near Seattle that Washingtonians are pussies to cold weather as well. 8F is nothing.Comment
