-20 -36 if you include windchill. We didnt have school that day just cause it was too cold.

-45 C I think. I recall it because the city was shut down for the day. Exposed skin freezes in around 2 minutes or less at that temperature, so it was deemed too dangerous to be outside.

Also, car engines can't start past -40 unless you're using special antifreeze so it's not like anyone could go anywhere anyway unless they had a garage.

this. they closed schools for a few days once cuz 2 minutes out you'd get frostbites

coldest place i lived was seattle. not too bad. it was always like 35 though, so it rarely snowed >__<.

coldest trip was to mt. rainier, with about -15. probably -20s wind chill.

Remember, F = 1.8C + 32 (i lol'd at some people)

@bmah: at least washingtonians aren't like people here in cali. lol. californians are such pussies to cold. as soon as it gets under 45, the only thing anyone talks about is the cold.

oh and the pussiest weather place i lived was jamaica. under 70 = too cold there. and over 80 = too hot. haha

I also know what you're talking about ledwix about Californians, as I also have family in Fremont and San Jose (and I go there frequently). They are even less tolerant of the cold of course. :/

Today I wore double-layered pants. Soft and furry on the inside. Best pants to keep yourself warm.

It was about -5 with a windchill of about -15 while I was snowboarding last weekend in PA. That was the coldest I've been since I could remember...

-48 C for about an hour+ up in Norway. Around 40 C also in Alberta.

A lot of you Canadians are full of **** or are exaggerating.

No one goes outside in anything lower than -40 degrees F, let alone play in snow and stuff.

I shovelled my driveway today in -52 Celsius. Not fun. Car didn't start, either. Turns out that my block heater doesn't work, so plugging my car in was more useless than the current administration.

EDIT: Smartdude and I live in the same city. So cold.

today school had a two hour late start cuz with wind chill it was -60-something degrees. i live in MN and honestly why, if theres global warming, does it at least seem like its way colder then when i was little... maybe its the age difference... cuz when i was little the snow seemed at least three feet... then again i was like four feet tall... that would leave only my big head sticking out of the snow... hmm...

I'd have to agree with you on the whole global warming issue. I really wonder where this "global warming" is when we get such cold weather that all services have to be shut down.
