    FFR R1/R3 || Guilds/Groups/Clan suggetion

We all know that there are groups of people out there who have clans (gamewhore, RB, TK etc..)

So why not have an automatic system, to integrate more of an MMO feel.

    Guild Name:
Name chosen by the founder to represent your guild.
Guild Rank: Your guilds rank, compared to the other 50 guilds grand totals.[1] (Subject to Change) You can click to see the guild list.
Founder: That guy who made the guild. You can click to see his profile.
At War With: Challenges can be issued to fellow guilds. Perhaps a built in challenge system would work well, competition to see who gets to a certain amount of points first etc... Click to see the opponents guild profile.
Age: When was this guild made.
Grand Total: Users will have the option to TAX their points earned. The Taxed % (0-80% or so) will be added onto the guilds Grand Total.[2]
    # of Guild Members Shows how many people are in the guild.[3]

Title: The founders chosen title for you, and/or a group of people.
Internal Rank: Compared to others, how many points have you taxed for the guild?
Points Acquired: How many points have you taxed for your guild?
Date Joined: Thats when you joined the guild.
    ---

In order to join a guild you would have to ether click some sort of "Join" button. You would then be directed to a form that you had to fill out. The form would be sent to the Founder or co-Founder (set by founder), and assessed.

Tax: What % of your Grand Total earned will be send to the guild.
Lock Guild: Founder option only. Disable join requests.
Hide Guild Information: Hides Guild Info from your profile.
Minimum 1% Tax: Founder option only. Tired of no one taxing your guild? Well MAKE THEM. We'll keep it unnoticeable though :P

    Extra Information:

    [1]
There would be a limited number of guild slots available. Each of the people wishing to create a guild would have to go through the 'Guild Administrator Guy' in order to have one created.

    [2]
Tax would be applied every X minutes/hours. Say you play 100 games and make 120,000,000 points. Throughout the time period, depending on what your tax setting was on, the server would have been recording the % of points made in a game. (ex. 60% of 2,000,000) At the end of the time period the total amount would be removed from your grand total and placed onto your guild grand total.

Nice suggestion and picture. It looks like we could use this to increase other players' interest in the game. However, I wouldn't want to take part in clan activities in my opinion.

And how exactly is this "tax" supposed to work? You'd what, actually score less physical points on your game because some were diverted into the clan total? That will
          a) Completely screw around with the score mechanics (AAAs and FCs and Tier Points especially)
          b) Encourage people to make an account solely to 100% score buff their guild
          c) Makes no real sense, why not just have an average grand total score?

Also, when you're going to make a suggestion, the phrase "I have no idea" shouldn't appear anywhere, especially not in your explanation of your suggestion.

Beyond that, I don't exactly see the -point- in including such a thing, it will just lead to more flaming, nonsense and 'OMG we're so much more leet than you" posturing, but I don't necessarily oppose it, I just doubt very very much that I'd ever join one if such a mechanic were created.

This actually sounds interesting, but I think that there should only be 50 or so guilds. This way, every guild would know the other guilds, and there could easily be guild competitions. I believe that if this were to happen, people would have to contact the administrators to get permission to create a guild. There could be guilds like:

General Spread---For spread players only. (GS)

            One-Handers Unite!---For one-handers only. (OHU)

            Index Represent---For indexers only. (IR)

The Rubix Clan---For Rubix lovers. (RC)

            The Staffz---For Staff Members. (SZ)

            etc.

I don't really understand why people would call this pointless... maybe you could careless about the continuation of new ideas and making FFR grow, but clearly some do not. This idea is good in some aspects, but needs refining. but it is not useless, people will enjoy this.

Its well presented and well thought out, except for a few things. you shouldn't actually have people subtracting form their actual score, cuse very few will do that, and im sure it would mess up alot of statistics...

This idea needs tweaking but i think if you find the right mix, it would attract alot of people to the game, aswell as make those who already play, play more...

                2 Issues resolved. Re-evaluate please?

I can do nothing about the people who make accounts specifically for leveling the guild, but whats wrong with that?

The problem with Averaging the grand totals. Is that people with next to no grand total would bring a guild rank down.

Remember this is just an idea, the staff has the over all choice. If the taxing can't be done, then I'll change it.

Agreed. This will turn out to be more interesting if there are limited amounts of clans. That way people will not get confused about other clans and that the clans that they participate in will not be scarce in population.

you don't need to average the grandtotals... why not add up the grandtotal of all the players in the guild, and have that be the guild score.

"Sounds" like a good idea. However, like SSC said, the grand total should be the combined grand totals of ALL the members inside the guild. This would probably fix the score buff issue.

Guild rank should be, most points combined from all members and from all the clans/guilds, they are ranked with whoever has the most total grand total.

What about avg rank too? Or you're just ranking about how many point they've contributed to their clan?
