Claymore - This sucks bad. It has the worst character designs ever, a terrible premise, and random horrible IDM for background music. Don't watch. Unless you like ****ty medieval killfests, I guess.
Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann - I can't decide if this is a really terrible mecha show, or a parody of really terrible mecha shows. Either way, only watch it out of morbid curiosity.
Hayate no Gotoku! - Pretty good comedy. Parody seems to be its strong suit. Not much else to say.
Darker than Black - Pretty awesome. Nice dark action series going on. I'm getting a bit of a MegaTen vibe from it - I still need to watch the second episode, as the first one had me hooked.
Lucky Star - Nice offbeat comedy. I was highly entertained by the first episode, and I hear the second one is much better.
sola - My favorite of this season so far. Kanon meets Da Capo, with a bit of Tsukihime thrown in for flavor. Excellent, excellent music. Very enjoyable and has really held my interest.
iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia - Awesome. Mai HiME, but with giant robots instead of Yuki Kajiura music. Well, that may be simplifying it a bit, but oh well. Definitely checked this out if you liked Mai HiME/Otome or Nanoha.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS - Ah, the big show of the season. Perhaps the most hotly anticipated show of all. I'm pleased to report that it has started off very well, albeit a bit slowly. However, this is a full run of 26 episodes, so it really doesn't matter. An absolute must-watch for Nanoha fans (not that they need me to tell them that).
Stuff I didn't watch: Nagasarete Airantou (monumentally retarded premise), Romeo x Juliet (will watch eventually because it's scored by Hitoshi Sakimoto, but I'm not expecting anything good), and any raws except for Polyphonica.
So, what are the absolute must-watch shows? sola and Nanoha so far. Xenoglossia is also very promising.
