Re: Ipods to be banned in New York
If your iPod is so loud that you can't hear an approaching vehicle there's a problem.Last edited by FluorescentArmy; 02-7-2007, 05:52 PM.

Re: Ipods to be banned in New York
That's not the issue. The real problem lies in people who don't A) know how to use crosswalk signals and B) don't know how to look left and right before crossing a street.
Seriously, if you can't cross a road while listening to music I think you might need to go back to the basics and hold your mommy's hand next time.
Also, your.

Re: Ipods to be banned in New York
It's not like they're banning them completely, and honestly it's not a HORRIBLE idea. While it's true that everyone listening to an iPod or talking on a phone is not going to step out in front of a bus, this kind of action does help to save those select few idiots from themselves. If the jackasses would, you know, look at the walk/don't walk sign or something, there wouldn't be a problem.
A lot of people advocate against listening to your headphones so loud that they make you unaware of your surroundings, anyway, because you become a better target for crime.
Wow, I got triple ninja'd.Comment

That's damned hilarious. Uh-oh. Better watch out, guys. They're patrolling for iPods.
This will be enforced about as well as j-walking.Comment

Re: Ipods to be banned in New York
That is a seriously naive statement.
I walk out on the road, using the pedestrian crossing. A car getting chased by the cops speeds right through the red light, hitting and killing me.
Was that my fault? No.
Oh, and I knew this was a stupid idea, that's why I posted it, for you all to talk about haha.Comment
