I was thinking about buying Tales of Legendia, but there is no used version of it at my local EBGames/Babbage's/GameStop...Is it worth the $40-$50???

Tales of Legendia
UNLEASH THE DRAGON
Originally posted by mead1My method of making love is quite different than you might expect. I prefer to find a girl taking a nap at the local preschool, and then make love to them as they scream in my large, sound-proofed, white van. Re: Tales of Legendia
In comparison to ToS, this game is terrible.Originally posted by Tonberry_KidThat doesn't answer my question though...Is it any good as ToS???
They rushed another release out while the hype around the Tales series was still high. It failed.

Re: Tales of Legendia
Tales of Legendia is the worst Tales game. It was developed by an unrelated team from Namco, not the remnants of Wolf Team/tri-Ace that still work there. Thus, it was not that great.
Like Squeek said, Sakuraba didn't do the music, which is a huge thing going against ToL. The graphics are also UGLY, especially compared to ToS.
The gameplay falls flat, too. If you enjoyed ToS, ToL won't really present any new material for you. It is quite boring.
Good Tales games: ToP, ToD, ToE, ToD2, ToR, ToS, TotA, ToW, ToW2, ToW3
Bad Tales games: ToL
That's Tales of Phantasia (FINALLY released here after 10 years, but the GBA version sucks and so does the translation) for the SFC/PSX/GBA, Tales of Destiny for the PSX, Tales of Eternia for the PSX (released as ToD2 in America), Tales of Destiny 2 for the PS2 (the real one, never released here), Tales of Rebirth for the PS2 (not released here), Tales of Symphonia for the GCN/PS2 (the one you've probably played, only the GCN version was released here, the PS2 version sucks anyway), Tales of the Abyss for the PS2 (special 10th anniversary Tales game; it's great and it's being localized!), and Tales of the World: Narakiri Dungeon 1-3, which are for the GBC and GBA (not released here).
So yeah. Every one of those games is much better than Legendia. Go pick some of them up.Comment

They're pretty import-friendly. The battle system is, at least.Comment

I looked at Tales of Legendia and immediately turned away. It just looked too crappy in my opinion. I mean I know I shouldn't judge by graphics, but it just looked a bit too crappy.Comment

Re: Tales of Legendia
I like story-lines to games. If the story-line sucked than the game sucks just a bit more than usual. But game play is where it's at.
How much do they cost for the other To's??? $50+???UNLEASH THE DRAGON

Re: Tales of Legendia
Could you tell me a site or something I could order one from??? And don't I need an adapter or something for my PS2/GCN for a straight-from-Japan game? One of my friends tried playing a game he ordered from Japan on his PS2 and it didn't work because he didn't have an adapter or whatever hooked in.UNLEASH THE DRAGON
