first of all, your friend meant nothing personal by her remark. it was simply a way to make her look better in her crush's, (your boyfriend's) eyes.

secondly, tell the girl! don't get pissed off, cause she wouldn't have said what she did if you had told her in the first place.

she won't kill you, but she might be mad you didn't tell her earlier. it may go smooth, or you may get bitched at. sorry to say, if you get bitched at, you kinda deserve it.
