    The TWG That Wasn't

    The ball is round. The game lasts 90 minutes. That's a fact. Everything else is pure theory.

    Here we go!

    High on the foreboding mountain of Drosstam has the great House of K'ahdyss ruled since time untold. House K'ahdyss has long been unopposed in power, for the lords of the House have been both mighty and benevolent. In wealth do the citizens of Drosstam live, low on the mountain, for the King Enn-Wyn K'ahdyss provides for their every need with his great powers.

    Legend has it that the House of K'ahdyss first ascended into power when the Great One, Rothvor K'ahdyss, spontaneously and inexplicably discovered he had latent magical talents. Using this power, he united the scattered, nomadic tribes of the region around the mountain of Drosstam. Though its peak remained snowy and formidable, Rothvor enchanted the soil around the mountain's base, making the earth fertile and crops plentiful. For the first time in history, the tribes could settle down in one place. Never again would they have to hunt and forage for their survival. The people of Drosstam chose Rothvor to be their King.

    Rothvor's firstborn son, Harthril, was also born with the gift of magic. The people of Drosstam rejoiced upon realizing that the gifts Rothvor had brought them would not die with their beloved monarch, but would last forever. And so Harthril begat Enutas, and Enutas begat Gha'ray, and so it passed on from generation to generation, with each firstborn son being the only child to receive the gift. No daughter or second-born was ever gifted with Rothvor's mysterious power. It was fifty-one years ago that Palkhas begat Enn-Wyn, heir to the throne and bearer of Rothvor's gift.

    But then, twenty-three years ago, something completely unexpected happened. Palkhas had been dead for some time, and Queen Alore was preparing to give birth to what would be the firstborn son and next king of Drosstam. No one could have predicted that she would give birth to twin sons. And no one expected them both to have inherited the gift.

    Enn-Wyn was growing old, and all of Drosstam was wondering who would become the next King after his death. The two princes of Drosstam, Alderoth and Sayban, were equally powerful, and equally beloved by their father. Both were chieftains of mighty tribes and great cities. But foresightful Enn-Wyn realized that one must live, and one must die. After all, both were jealous of each other, and both would doubtlessly bear magical heirs. Generations down the road of time, war could perhaps break out between the descendants of the two brothers.

    Enn-Wyn pondered this fact with a heavy heart as he lay down to rest that night.

    It is now Night 1. I'm sending the wolves their sets of confirmation codes now. I need a wolf kill, seer picks from the 4 seers, and guardian picks from the 2 guardians.

    --------------------------------------------------
    PMs LOOK LIKE THIS:
    --------------------------------------------------
    You are a HUMAN, and a member of the Alderoth tribe.
    You are a HUMAN, and a member of the Sayban tribe.
    You are a WOLF, and a member of the Alderoth tribe. Your fellow wolves are (names). [You are a tribal seer, and can detect the tribal affiliation of any human. You cannot target wolves.]/[You are not a seer.]
    You are a WOLF, and a member of the Sayban tribe. Your fellow wolves are (names).
    You are a CHIEFTAIN, and a member of the Alderoth tribe. Your fellow Alderoth chieftain is (name). You are a [seer/guardian].
    You are a CHIEFTAIN, and a member of the Sayban tribe. Your fellow Sayban chieftain is (name). You are a [seer/guardian].

    The wolves also see this:
    -------------------------------------
    Your confirmation codes. When giving your confirmation, replace the underscore with the night number it is. So 00000_000 becomes 000001000 if it's night 1, 000002000 if it's night 2, etc.

    I can get one wolf PM every night, but I need 4 confirmation codes. These are unique confirmation codes. So once you've decided upon someone, everyone send in their codes. You can all compile your codes into 1 PM if you'd like (all 4 sent by the same person), but they have to be right.

    If, at the end of the night, I don't have a kill confirmed from all 4 wolves, you forfeit your kill for the night.

    RE: TWG XIV - The Princes Of Drosstam (Night 1)

    Everyone's roles are being re-randomized, because Tass and Whorli both f--ked up again. IIRC, this happened the last time I ran a TWG with those two in it.

    Ignore your last PM. You guys know how the game works, so for the purposes of brevity, these are what the new PMs are going to say:
    AH = Alderoth human
    SH = Sayban human
    ASW = Alderoth seer wolf
    ARW = Alderoth regular wolf
    SSW = Sayban seer wolf
    SRW = Sayban regular wolf
    ASC = Alderoth seer chieftain
    AGC = Alderoth guardian chieftain
    SSC = Sayban seer chieftain
    SGC = Sayban guardian chieftain

    IM or PM me if you need your role further explained. I just spent about 45 minutes sending out PMs and I'm pissed as hell that I have to do it all over again. Thank you for your cooperation, and I'm sorry if you got a role you don't want to surrender.

      Allright. All PMs are out.

      Forgot to put in the PMs that Wolf Seers can't seer other wolves, and Guardians can't guard themselves or their same-tribe seer (who they know).

        [14:39] Evan: Attention everyone
        [14:39] Evan: 18 players and 4 wolves makes it really stacked against the wolves if you're playing this wolves/humans ... as long as the humans have 2 seers.
        [14:40] Evan: Therefore
        [14:40] Evan: (and you're going to hate this)
        [14:40] Evan: In the name of balance, I am forced to remove the seers from the human side.

          Rules change. Last one of the game.
          Humans seering a wolf on your tribe now makes them turn up human.

            RE: TWG XIV - The Princes Of Drosstam (Night 1)

            The castle soon heard news of a crisis breaking out in the small village of Kleth. It seemed that one of the citizens of Kleth, Talisman, was murdered in his sleep by his own townspeople. It was winter, and it was obvious that the culprit had not left town - there were no tracks leading out of the village in the fresh snow. The townspeople sent a visiting messenger to bear this news to the King.

            The King could use his abilities to divine that it was not one man or woman, but a force of four, that dispatched Talisman. The King announced to his sons Alderoth and Sayban that he was sending them to the town to discover who the killers were, and have them executed. With their magic and intuition, they would be able to perform this perilous work better than anyone else.

            But the scheming minds of the two young men had greater ambitions, and more devious tasks to carry out. The two arrived at the town of Kleth and informed the townspeople of their objective - every day, vote amongst themselves to determine who would be executed. But the two princes had other plans - they determined that the fate of the throne of Drosstam, and the heirship to the house of K'ahdyss, would be determined in that town.

            The sons were immediately able to divine the identity of the killers, but did not inform the townspeople, preferring instead to settle their feud here and now with a minimum of bloodshed. Seeing seventeen people in the town, they randomly cast lots to split the town into two tribes - a tribe of Alderoth, and a tribe of Sayban. They so set it up so that two of the killers were on each one of the tribes, and in secret informed each villager which side they were on. Regrettably, one of the tribes was one person short, due to the recent killing.

            The brothers also agreed to appoint two chieftains for each tribe - all four with knowledge of who their fellow chieftain was. One chieftain on each side would be blessed with the ability to protect one of their people from the killers, the other would be able to divine whether people they examined were killers or not - save for his own brethren of the tribe.

            "We understand you want to eliminate the killers, and save yourselves," said each brother to his tribe in secret, "but eliminate my brother's tribe, and you shall be great under my reign! You shall live in my palace, feast on only the finest foods, and live a life of luxury and comfort until your hair grows white with age!"

            A tempting offer - the twin princes' plan was set in motion.

            It is now Day 1. Ends at 11:59 PM EST on Monday. Instalynch @ 9 votes.

              OK Guys.... Just got some GREAT news from the Alderoth seer, who had contacted me before the night started. He decided to go unconventional and seered Spheroid, who is, as it turns out, a wolf.

              Don't think this takes much in the way of reasoning beyond that...

              Spheroid

              Also, I heard some really weird shit coming from LD about alain... and, I'm really really confused about it. I'm very interested to hear what he has to say... but, for the time being, evidence is overwhelming against Spheroid. I expect a quick insta on this boys.
              RIP

                Well, having a wolf seen first round is way better than trying rationalize with barely anything.

                What happened with LD and Alain? I hope it's not another Blah/Hans/stretchy thing like last game.
