    Correct way to use 4 fingers, 2 hands for arrow keys?

    Well, I always did left hand=left+down, and right hand=up+right

    I asked my friend what he used, he said he used 2 fingers per hand too, then he says he does, left hand=left+right, and right hand=up and down, that's like bizzare to me, but that way, my middle finger on right hand isn't sticking in the air. What way seems right to you?

    Low score but a lot of games because I keep trying to AA/AAA songs and quit when the goal is no longer possible :P

    Most people use your way, but some might do your friends way.

      While im at it, is there any way to change the keys? like for instance

      ax for left hand, and lm for right hand, it fits the hand perfectly and like, is finger friendly, and doesn't require ur hands being so close (I'm pretty sure you can do it on stepmania, but why learn 2 ways?)

      Low score but a lot of games because I keep trying to AA/AAA songs and quit when the goal is no longer possible :P

        You can't change the keys in ffr only sm, but in R2 you can change the keys configuation I think.

          I use the four finger two hand style but I think my variation is the only known one on FFR.

          Left Hand:
          Index Finger on Left Arrow

          Right Hand:
          Index Finger on Down Arrow
          Middle Finger on Up Arrow
          Ring Finger on Right Arrow

          Now everyone who puts their fingers like this(I know everyone who reads this is going to try it) it looks as if your fingers are twisted, but this is very comfortable for me. So I'm pretty sure no one else uses this style but me.

              Not Really, because as the sly black guy I am, I also am a proficient Index player with my middle fingers. So when jacks come up, my middle fingers are flippin the bird. Remember that post I showed you of me AA Healing Vision Stream Edit on Challenge? That was an index score.

                I guess I must be a noob then because i prefer using 1 hand 3 fingers
                Index=left
                Middle=Up,Down
                Ring=Right

                  I'm a n00b too then I suppose, I also prefer to use three fingers. I'm a bit ambidexterious ( spelling? ) so if I try to use both hands, they just start to fight over the arrows, heh. I can play with both hands but not at the same time ^.^

                  But I hear there are some really good 3-finger players around so it must be a matter of preference too, not just a n00b thing.

                    its a matter of preference.... but if you want to rank the ways to play...

                    the top 4 finger players are the best, then the top index players, then the top one-handed players. and, that is proven fact.

                          Hah.

                          Good luck indeed.

                          You'll sure as hell need it.
                          I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

                            I'm better at jacks with my ring finger than with any other finger.

                              my hands feel crowded when i use only the arrow pad, so i also use the num pad in conjunction.
                              so my left hand has left and down on the arrow keys and my right hand has up and right on the num pad.
                              iunno if this is considered anything but i find it less crowding.
