you got banned? That's news to me. Genuinely interested in why.

Could start up a general simfile song & patterns discussion thread on here, and aim for having the same content that the #simfiles chat in FFR had, but likely 90+% of the playerbase will just communicate in #simfiles vs the thread, for convenience.

I'm not aware of other active places for charting discussion, since I'm not heavily tied to any other communities. I would assume Osu probably has something given how massive the playerbase for that is in contrast.

PS: Also, I'm banned from The EO and FFR discords so are there any alternatives?
      As an aside:

If you didn't do anything horrible, shoot one of the discord mods a DM and see if you can sort it out, they can be a little more forgiving than you'd think, or I'd tell you personally.

I can't speak for the EO server though.

I guess the Quaver discord exists. You'd probably get better advice from the highly experienced charters here tho

there are many smaller etterna servers but probably nowhere as good as the eo and ffr channels

if you read through cosmovibe's guide and post a minipack of like 3-4 files I'll review it

But of course, that's nonsense and sounds more like a black and white fictional system made by a naive child than the more diverse and possibly intimidating reality.
On FFR: The judge batch is more like a group of users, selected by some other users with a strong catalogue of files, that are generally well-received.

In Etterna: Generally you can release whatever you want, but when someone is organizing a pack, you encounter a different way of subbing files. You've probably got one person going over your file (two or more if they're popular - see Project Alpha / Acerola.) Prepare for more subjective critiques, with a lot of the more objective ones being short handed.

                    lol quaver
ThirdStyle had the same system FFR does.
                    lol osu

What you probably want, is to find someone to bounce ideas with, and have them explain the basics, which like Choof said, reading Cosmo's guide to charting is an immaculate place to start, but then you actually need to practice. Stick to songs with static BPMs: Monstercat is an amazing place to start. You won't likely make anything amazing from those, but they're fantastic for practice with Sync / Structure. Stick to charting what you like though, or else you're gonna be unmotivated.

this depends on the pack, and can also depend on who is running it. guys and gals like myself and rog are going to lean more towards subjectivity because we just like seeing cool ass notes placed to cool ass music. on the other hand, dudes like fission and bobmarley420 are way more technical than I'll ever be. and some lads like halogen are gonna have a healthy dose of both.

rly good point, if you want to stick with fiffer chartz then do some monstercat ones. if it's rejected you have a list of what the various judges are looking for and if it's accepted congrats you are guaranteed that people will play it and likely enjoy it.

the same sentiment applies to stepmania too, but with various other electronic music labels. hunt for some cool sounding 4/4 bleep bloops with a static bpm and start stebping

Also, I can notice to hear 24th triplets in Puzzle now, maybe it's either because DDReam does a little something with the audio compared to Arrowvortex or I just listen to the song too much.
